adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Yuki has found a home! His story: Yuki is one of those dogs you just want to take right into your lap, wrap in a blanket, and never let go. His fluffy, cream-white fur, the delicate brown markings around his eyes and ears, and his curiously-soft gaze – everything about him screams: Future family dog! Yuki belongs to a loving foursome (Luise, Armen, Pauli, and he himself) who are currently living in a foster home in Cluj. All four are incredibly people-oriented, open, and friendly – true little heartbreakers with great potential as a family dog, a snuggle buddy, or an adventure companion. Yuki not only has a charming appearance but also a truly special personality. He is gentle, sensitive, attentive, and always strives to stay connected to his people. His slightly insecure behavior in some photos might reveal: He is sensitive. But that is exactly what makes him so lovable. He wants to please, he wants to belong, and he will give his whole heart if given time and trust. Like every young puppy, Yuki still needs to learn the dog ABC: house training, leash manners, being alone, or recall – but with the right guidance and loving consistency, he will learn all of that. And positive dog training classes would be a wonderful support for him – for training, safety, and bonding. Yuki is approximately 4 months old – and at this age, he is exactly in the right phase to learn how to bond and build trust. Of course: His adolescence will also come. And that phase where "sit" becomes "maybe later" and leashes sometimes just become a nuisance. But with loving guidance, calmness, and patience, the one who accompanies him will find in Yuki a sensitive, loyal, and incredibly attached lifelong friend. Yuki is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. His EU pet passport is ready, and he can be adopted after a positive assessment. A loving foster home could also be a springboard to happiness. Thank you, Natalie, for naming Yuki! As of: 06.08. This is a young, adolescent dog.

Danke an Natalie – du hast Yuki seinen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 06.08.2025

About Yuki

What life with Yuki looks like

Yuki is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yuki, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yuki?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yuki on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yuki if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yuki already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yuki isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yuki and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
