Origin Country: Hungary We have a DNA breed determination. The pretty Zila came into Menhely grandly on July 30, 2021. During the chip check, they struck gold, but the owners no longer want her back. Words fail us, but perhaps it’s better for Zila, as she likely didn’t mean much to her people. On August 2, 2021, Zila gave birth to four adorable puppies, fortunately not somewhere out on the street. Zila was a loving mother, and the little ones are now growing up and Zila can look for a new home. Unfortunately, Zila is also a list dog, and the animal shelter is full of such dogs, making it incredibly difficult to find beautiful and suitable homes for these wonderful four-legged friends. At any rate, our fingers are crossed for Zila that Menhely is not the end station for her. Zila is a really great female dog who has a lot of catch-up to do and wants to finally live a dog-friendly life. She is initially a bit reserved, but a very friendly and loving dog lady. When she realizes that you mean her well, she really enjoys being spoiled with cuddles and when you engage with her. Zila wants to please and her new people should enjoy teaching her a few more things, because Zila still doesn’t know everything about the dog ABCs. But we are sure that Zila will be enthusiastic and eager to do and catch up on everything she missed. Zila is compatible with her fellow animals depending on the sympathy, here in the animal shelter she is alone in a pen. She would rather be a single dog in her new home. For our wonderful Zila, we are looking for loving and sensitive people who will stand by Zila with love and care and give her security in new situations. To make up for everything she missed, to mentally and physically challenge and promote her, and to finally give her a dogworthy life that she can enjoy carefree, happily, and loved. On December 3, 2024, a voluntary, Hungarian helper writes: "Zila came into the care of the animal shelter at one year old and has lived there for already three and a half years. On a mentor day, we took her on an exciting walk. Zila walks nicely on the leash. Initially, the situation was that taking care of her and showing her affection was new to her, but she quickly adapted and picked up the rhythm. She is skillful and learns quickly. During the walk, she stopped when asked and accepted being stroked, even though this was also initially unusual for her. At the end, she enjoyed the pampering and the fact that she could move and sniff as she wanted. When she saw several dogs further away on the walk, she neither growled nor barked. Zila eagerly awaits her own owner to whom she can move in as a permanent part of the family. She should finally be able to experience what the life of a happy pet dog is like, because unfortunately, she doesn’t know that yet. She needs love, attention, long walks, play, and fun in the company of her family. This beautiful, kind female dog tries so hard to please. Good luck, dear Zila!" On March 7, 2026, a voluntary, Hungarian helper writes: "Zila came at one year old into the care of the animal shelter and has lived there since. That is a very long time. On a mentor day, she now had the opportunity to go on an exciting and interesting walk. Zila started enthusiastically, happily, and full of joy with her mentor for the walk. She is a sweet, loving, and friendly female dog. She enjoyed every minute of the walk. She was full of curiosity because finally, she could run, sniff, and move freely. Many interesting impressions were waiting for her. Cuddles and affection were what she expected and sought. She ran nicely on the leash and paid attention to her mentor. She is a smart, attentive, and eager to please female dog. Zila longs for a lot of love, attention, care, and mental stimulation. She wants to get this from her new family and her new owner." Ursprungsland: Ungarn Uns liegt eine DNA-Rassebestimmung vor. Die hübsche Zila kam am 30.7.2021 hochträchtig ins Menhely. Bei der Chipkontrolle wurde man tatsächlich fündig, doch die Besitzer wollten sie nicht mehr zurückhaben. Da fehlen einem die Worte, aber für Zila vielleicht besser, denn viel kann sie ihren Menschen nicht bedeutet haben. Am 2.8.2021 gebar Zila vier entzückende Welpen, zum Glück nicht irgendwo draussen auf der Strasse. Zila war eine liebevolle Mama, und die Kleinen werden nun flügge, sodass Zila sich nach einem neuen Daheim umschauen kann. Leider ist auch Zila ein Listenhund, und das Tierheim ist voll mit solchen Hunden, es ist wahnsinnig schwer, für diese tollen Vierbeiner ein schönes und geeignetes Zuhause zu finden. Auf jeden Fall sind unsere Daumen für Zila fest gedrückt, dass das Menhely nicht Endstation für sie ist. Zila ist eine ganz tolle Hündin, die viel Nachholbedarf hat und endlich ein hundegerechtes Leben führen möchte. Sie ist anfangs noch etwas zurückhaltend, aber eine ganz freundliche und liebe Hundedame. Merkt sie, dass man es gut mit ihr meint, geniesst sie es sehr, wenn man sie mit Streicheleinheiten verwöhnt und sich mit ihr beschäftigt. Zila möchte gefallen, und ihre neuen Menschen sollten Freude daran haben, ihr noch ein paar Sachen beizubringen, denn Zila kennt noch nicht alles vom Hundeeinmaleins. Doch wir sind sicher, dass Zila mit Freude und Eifer dabei sein und all das Verpasste schnell intus haben wird. Zila ist je nach Sympathie mit ihren Artgenossen verträglich, hier im Tierheim ist sie alleine in einem Zwinger, und sie wäre lieber Einzelhund in ihrem neuen Zuhause. Für unsere wunderbare Zila suchen wir liebevolle und einfühlsame Menschen, die ihr mit Liebe und Fürsorge zur Seite stehen und ihr in neuen Situationen Sicherheit geben. Menschen, die mit ihr all das Versäumte nachholen, sie geistig wie körperlich fordern und fördern und ihr endlich ein hundewürdiges Leben schenken, das sie sorglos, glücklich und geliebt geniessen kann. Wem darf Zila eine treue Wegbegleiterin sein? Update vom 29.07.2026: Zila kam mit einem Jahr ins Tierheim und lebt inzwischen schon viele Jahre dort, eine sehr lange Zeit. An den Mentortagen darf sie mit ihrem Mentor auf spannende Spaziergänge mitkommen, und dort zeigt sich, was für eine feine Hündin sie ist. Sie startet begeistert, fröhlich und voller Freude, geniesst jede Minute und ist voller Neugier, denn endlich kann sie laufen, schnüffeln und sich frei bewegen und viele interessante Eindrücke aufnehmen. An der Leine läuft sie schön und achtet aufmerksam auf ihren Mentor, auf Bitte hält sie an, und das Gestreicheltwerden, das ihr anfangs noch ungewohnt war, geniesst sie inzwischen sichtlich. Sie ist geschickt, klug und lernt schnell, eine gutmütige Hündin, die sich sehr bemüht zu gefallen. Sieht sie unterwegs andere Hunde in einiger Entfernung, bleibt sie ruhig, ohne zu knurren oder zu bellen. Zila sehnt sich nach viel Liebe, Aufmerksamkeit, Fürsorge, langen Spaziergängen und Beschäftigung und wartet sehnsüchtig auf ihre eigene Familie, bei der sie für immer als vollwertiges Mitglied einziehen darf, denn ein glückliches Zuhause kennt sie bisher leider nicht. Zila ist reisefertig. Da Zila ein Listenmix ist, müssen Sie sich bei Interesse an ihr zuerst in Ihrem Wohnkanton über die Haltungsbedingungen informieren.
