Zoi (Ζωή)

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 3 years

We don't know what to start with or how to begin talking about our Zoiitsa. Our beloved Life. Life that once you see her, you fall in love with her instantly, you can't take your eyes off her. Life has soft white fur and bright blue eyes, she is perhaps the most beautiful dog you will ever see in your life. She is like a beautiful song that enchants you with its melody before you even hear or notice the lyrics. However, the song of Zoiitsa is not only her beautiful melody and appearance. Once you spend some time with her, you will discover the lyrics of the song, that is, her wonderful character. Our Life is a very happy and enthusiastic dog full of energy, she loves people, never stops with the kisses and hugs. When you enter her enclosure, she will hug you, kiss you, show you how much she loves you (even if you are seeing her for the first time) and ask you to go for a walk. Whatever we write about this dog is little. It's enough to meet her and you will understand us. Abundant in everything she has, in her beauty, in her character, in her joy, in all. Despite all this, Zoiitsa hasn't found a home yet and we wonder why. She doesn't wonder, she just enjoys life, today, as if she knows that tomorrow she will be in a home. Patience and a lot of love from her future owner will be needed because Zoiitsa doesn't know anything about living at home or in a city; she will need time to adapt. She learns easily, though. Also, she will need exercise and stimulation because she has energy, so she should take long walks or have access to a garden. Our Zoiitsa is 6 years old, 20-25 kilograms, spayed, vaccinated, and for all these years her home has been the Brova Farm. She was found as a dying puppy and we saved her Life to live. And she lived, bloomed and became this wonderful creature. When you come to see her, she will hug you, kiss you, and look at you with her blue eyes and say, "Come on, let's sing together." What do you say, let's go?

About Zoi (Ζωή)

What life with Zoi (Ζωή) looks like

Zoi (Ζωή) is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Dogs Voice in Athens.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇷Adopting from Greece

Greek shelters often partner with Northern European rescue groups for placements. Animals are sterilized, vaccinated, and chipped before adoption. Fees vary widely depending on whether the shelter is municipal or NGO-run.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zoi (Ζωή), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zoi (Ζωή)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Voice handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zoi (Ζωή) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zoi (Ζωή) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Voice will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zoi (Ζωή) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zoi (Ζωή) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Voice early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zoi (Ζωή) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
