Zoro sucht ein Zuhause

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 8 years

Zoro sucht ein Zuhause Estimated Birth Date: 18.02.2018 / Shoulder height: 60 cm. Neutered: Yes. Gender: Male Origin: Romania Dog's Current Location: Foster Family Child-friendly: Yes Cat-friendly: Yes Gets along with other dogs: Yes. Disability: He was operated on due to a luxation of the right knee and walks slightly lame with his right hind leg. Also, one ear was cut off. It is a custom of the shepherds in Romania to cut their dogs' ears. Zoro is a very cheerful and friendly dog, he likes to play with other dogs and enjoys being petted. As a likely Mioritic-mixed breed, he will make a very good guard dog for the property. The Wuschel was found in a rural area, far away from any house, in a very poor condition. He had trouble walking, so it is assumed that he had an injury or was hit by a car. Despite his poor condition, he immediately sought love and care from the first moment, so he immediately won the hearts of the local animal welfare workers. Another thing is his age. His teeth are very bad. The age was determined by his teeth. But his behavior is that of a much younger dog. The local animal welfare workers think that the age is not correct. Zoro had a really bad life. The teeth could be damaged because of that. He is playful and jumps all day, he behaves like a young dog:-) But his teeth look as though he had eaten stones. However, his behavior does not match his estimated age of around 6 years. If you are interested in the cute Zoro and want to give him a loving home, please contact us. He could be with you in no time. We only place Zoro in a rural home with a fenced garden and without young children. Of course, he still needs to learn some basic German dog commands. Where could he learn better than in his own family:-) Our dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, neutered (if they are in the required age), with a vaccination certificate when they travel to their new home.

Zoro sucht ein Zuhause Geschätztes Geburtsdatum: 18.02.2018 / ??Schulterhöhe: 60 cm. Kastriert: Ja.

About Zoro sucht ein Zuhause

What life with Zoro sucht ein Zuhause looks like

Zoro sucht ein Zuhause is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutz La Palma e.V. in Hüllhorst.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zoro sucht ein Zuhause, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zoro sucht ein Zuhause?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutz La Palma e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zoro sucht ein Zuhause on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zoro sucht ein Zuhause if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutz La Palma e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zoro sucht ein Zuhause already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zoro sucht ein Zuhause isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutz La Palma e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zoro sucht ein Zuhause and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
