Adopt 🆘 ZUMA – SAUVETAGE 🆘

German Shepherd · Male · Puppy

Return on December 10, 2026: The magnificent Zuma is up for adoption! Abandoned because his owners found themselves homeless after a eviction, he had the chance to find a family quickly. Unfortunately, due to resource management issues, his adoptive family had no choice but to bring him back. Indeed, Zuma seems to have a very difficult/particular relationship with food... perhaps he has missed out in the past. Work with an educator has been initiated, so it would be wise to continue this once he is in a family. Zuma is a sensitive but extremely intelligent dog. Energetic, he is always ready for a walk. Obedient, he masters basic commands perfectly. Social, if his future family already has one or more other animals of the same species, a meeting will still need to take place to evaluate compatibility. Even if the compatibility is good, they will certainly need to be separated during meals, chewing, etc. However, no cohabitation is possible with our feline friends or with children. Zuma deserves to finish his days in a quiet and serene place, surrounded by greenery, so if you think you can offer him this, come meet him!!. Note: this animal shows resource guarding.

About 🆘 ZUMA – SAUVETAGE 🆘

What life with 🆘 ZUMA – SAUVETAGE 🆘 looks like

🆘 ZUMA – SAUVETAGE 🆘 is a large puppy/kitten german shepherd dog waiting at SPA 65 Tarbes in Tarbes.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

Frequently asked

Adopting 🆘 ZUMA – SAUVETAGE 🆘, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about 🆘 ZUMA – SAUVETAGE 🆘?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SPA 65 Tarbes handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw 🆘 ZUMA – SAUVETAGE 🆘 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt 🆘 ZUMA – SAUVETAGE 🆘 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SPA 65 Tarbes will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is 🆘 ZUMA – SAUVETAGE 🆘 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if 🆘 ZUMA – SAUVETAGE 🆘 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SPA 65 Tarbes early rather than rehoming privately; they know 🆘 ZUMA – SAUVETAGE 🆘 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
