Born in 2019, he was found when he almost had no strength left. Emaciated to the limits, with a patchy coat and advanced feline leukemia. He looked at humans with fear in his eyes - as if he had long stopped believing that someone could help him. For a long time he was distrustful, hid, trembled at every movement. The only thing that gave him a sense of security was eating. He still grabs it greedily, almost throws himself at the bowl - as if someone would take it away from him soon. As if he still lives with the memory of hunger. Tests showed something that changed everything - he is a carrier of the FIV virus. He has a weakened immune system and the animal shelter is not a safe place for him. Any infection takes away his strength. Every day in the kennel is a fight he should not have to endure anymore. He is not a cat that immediately curls up in human arms. He has lost too much in life, remembers too much pain. He is quiet, withdrawn, cautious. But that does not mean he does not deserve love. He does not dream of toys, does not need miracles. He just wants one thing - a quiet corner, a quiet home and a person who will not force closeness, but will let him slowly believe. This small cat has already gone through enough. Let's not let him spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Patrzył na człowieka z lękiem w oczach — jakby już dawno przestał wierzyć, że ktoś może mu pomóc. Przez długi czas był nieufny, chował się, drżał przy każdym ruchu. Jedyną rzeczą, która dawała mu poczucie bezpieczeństwa, było jedzenie. Do dziś je łapczywie, wręcz rzuca się na miskę — tak, jakby za chwilę ktoś miał mu ją odebrać. Jakby wciąż żył wspomnieniem głodu. Badania pokazały coś, co zmieniło wszystko — jest nosicielem wirusa FIV. Ma obniżoną odporność i schronisko nie jest dla niego bezpiecznym miejscem. Każda infekcja zabiera mu kolejne siły. Każdy dzień w kojcu to walka, której nie powinien już toczyć. Nie jest kotem, który od razu wtula się w ramiona człowieka. Zbyt wiele w życiu stracił, zbyt wiele bólu zapamiętał. Jest cichy, wycofany, ostrożny. Ale to nie znaczy, że nie zasługuje na miłość. On nie marzy o zabawkach, nie potrzebuje cudów. Chce tylko jednego – spokojnego kąta, cichego domu i człowieka, który nie będzie go zmuszał do bliskości, tylko pozwoli mu powoli uwierzyć.
