Leur mère a disparu peu de temps après, et les deux frères sont restés ensemble depuis. Alma est devenue un chat sociable et affectueux qui adore l'attention des humains. Koky, en revanche, reste timide : il fait confiance uniquement à sa sœur. Alma a eu des opportunités d'être adoptée seule, mais elle refuse de laisser Koky derrière elle. Leur lien est silencieux, profond et indestructible. La maison où ils sont actuellement en famille d'accueil va être vendue, ce qui rend leur situation urgente.
