Bertie è un ragazzo molto attraente e intelligente che è pronto a trovare una casa amorevole e comprensiva. Forma legami forti con le persone e mostra il suo affetto avvicinandosi per ricevere coccole – una volta che sei la persona giusta, sei veramente speciale per lui! Bertie ama le sue passeggiate quotidiane e soprattutto esplorare percorsi in aree boschive. Di solito cammina bene al guinzaglio ma può essere forte a volte, specialmente quando fa interessanti indagini olfattive. È abituato a portare il museruolo durante le passeggiate, poiché può sentirsi sopraffatto dai cani sconosciuti. Con presentazioni lente e calme al guinzaglio può fare amicizia con altri cani, tuttavia beneficierebbe maggiormente di aree per le passeggiate più tranquille con meno cani non al guinzaglio e si svilupperà meglio con padroni in grado di portarlo in campi chiusi per correre, adora un gioco di tiro e mostrerà la sua vittoria girando intorno prima di tornare per un altro gioco. Bertie dovrebbe essere l'unico animale domestico in casa, dove può ricevere tutto l'amore e l'attenzione che merita. È molto motivato dal cibo, rendendo l'addestramento divertente e gratificante, ma a volte può essere un po' troppo eccitato con i suoi premi. Bertie è un ragazzo così intelligente, adorerà una casa interessata a continuare il suo addestramento, lavoro olfattivo, attività di arricchimento e altre maniere per tenere attiva la sua mente. Bertie adora i suoi umani e può trovare difficile essere lasciato solo, quindi avrà bisogno di padroni disposti a costruire gradualmente la sua fiducia nel rimanere da soli. Cerca una famiglia con adulti o adolescenti più grandi che siano a proprio agio con razze grandi. Bertie è davvero un ragazzo straordinario con tanto amore da dare. Bertie is a striking and intelligent boy who is ready to find a loving, understanding home. He forms strong bonds with his people and shows his affection by leaning in for fuss and cuddles – once you’re his person, you’re truly special to him! Bertie enjoys his daily walks and especially loves exploring woodland routes. He generally walks nicely on lead but can be strong at times, especially for some interesting sniffs. He is comfortable wearing a muzzle on walks, as he can find unknown dogs overwhelming. With slow, calm on-lead introductions he can make canine friends, however he would benefit most from quieter walking areas with fewer off-lead dogs, and would thrive with owners able to take him to enclosed dog fields for a good run around, he loves a game of tug-of-war and will parade his victory around before coming in for another play. Bertie would need to be the only pet in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention he deserves. He is very food motivated, making training both fun and rewarding, but can be a little over excited with his treats at times.Bertie is such a clever boy, he would love a home interested in continuing his training, scent work, enrichment activities and other ways to keep his active mind engaged. Bertie adores his humans and can find being left alone difficult, so he will need owners who are happy to gradually build up his confidence with alone time. He is looking for an adult or older-teen household who are comfortable with larger breeds. Bertie is a truly wonderful boy with so much love to give. With the right home, he will make an incredibly loyal and rewarding companion.
