Cathy è un cucciolo di cinque mesi che pensiamo crescerà ad essere di taglia media ma la genetica è sconosciuta. Cathy è entrata nel nostro recupero recentemente dal rifugio pubblico di Botosani in Romania. È una delle meno sicure tra la follia dei cuccioli al momento, ma con un po' di tempo diventa la bambina dolce e affettuosa. I cuccioli hanno bisogno di qualcuno a casa per gran parte del giorno. Possono fare rumore, sporcare e mordere le vostre cose fino a quando non saranno addestrati a non farlo e non ci piace quando i cuccioli vengono restituiti semplicemente perché sono cuccioli quindi considerate attentamente prima di applicare. Cathy ha bisogno di un cane residente nella sua casa per sempre. Cathy è stata allevata da Norwich Norfolk. Se siete interessati, inviate un messaggio o chiamate tra le 9:00 e le 17:00 dal lunedì al venerdì o tra le 9:00 e le 16:00 il sabato. Le tariffe di donazione per l'adozione dal 1° dicembre 2025 sono: Cuccioli già castrati e tutti i cani adulti: £430. Cuccioli non castrati con contratti di castrazione: £530 (riceverete un rimborso di £100 una volta che ci invierete la prova della castrazione). Cani anziani (10 anni o più): £150-£250 (in base all'età e alle esigenze individuali). Politica di adozione Quando adottate un cane da Safe Rescue, DOVETE utilizzare una guinzaglio a scatto. Questo terrà il vostro cane al sicuro: il vostro nuovo cane sarà nervoso e non vi farà fiducia, e voi non saprete quali situazioni potrebbero agitare il vostro cane. Se il vostro cane si spaventa, allora un guinzaglio a scatto è l'unica via per evitare che il vostro cane scappi (molti cani possono scappare da collari e/o imbragature). Ci vorranno ALMENO 3-6 mesi per far abituare il vostro cane e conoscere completamente il vostro cane (più a lungo per i cani nervosi). Il guinzaglio a scatto deve SEMPRE essere usato durante questo periodo di abituarsi. Anche dopo che il vostro cane si è abituato, è più sicuro usare il guinzaglio a scatto in situazioni in cui il vostro cane potrebbe spaventarsi (ad esempio visitare luoghi nuovi, intorno a persone sconosciute, dal veterinario), e in situazioni dove potrebbero accadere scatenanti inaspettati (ad esempio intorno alla notte dei fuochi d'artificio). I cani nervosi potrebbero sempre dover indossare un guinzaglio a scatto come misura di sicurezza aggiuntiva. Il guinzaglio a scatto è un dispositivo di sicurezza e mai deve essere utilizzato come strumento di addestramento. Utilizzare il guinzaglio per esercitare pressione sul collo del cane è dannoso. Se il vostro cane tira il guinzaglio, possiamo consigliarvi metodi di addestramento che evitino danni. Una volta che il vostro cane si è abituato, potreste considerare di utilizzare una cingia (insieme al guinzaglio a scatto) se il cane è comodo con il tocco quando è fissato. La maggior parte delle cingie non è anti-scappatoia, ma le cingie con una cingia dietro le costole (ad esempio Ruffwear Webmaster o Perfect Fit Harnesses) sono più sicure. I guinzagli retrattili / estensibili non devono mai essere utilizzati sui nostri cani. I cani adottati devono essere raccolti dal rifugio e trasportati direttamente a casa in una gabbia. Cathy is a five month old pup who we think will grow to be medium sized but parentage is unknown. Cathy has come into our care recently from the Botosani public shelter in Romania. She is one of the less confident amongst the puppy craziness currently, but given just a little time and she is the sweetest and loving little girl. Puppies need someone at home for a large part of the day. They can make noise, mess and chew up your stuff until they are trained not to do so and we really don’t like it when puppies get returned for simply being puppies so please consider this carefully before applying. Adoption Donation Fees From 1st Dec 2025 are Puppies already neutered and all adult dogs: £430. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Policy When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a crate. Fences and gates must be 5ft min & secure.
