Cristina è un incrocio di taglia media o grande, nata nel marzo 2023. Cristina è stata salvata da cucciola dalle strade di Crevedia in Romania. È arrivata nel Regno Unito a settembre 2023 e è stata adottata rapidamente ma è stata restituita dopo alcune settimane perché non aveva una buona relazione con l'uomo della casa. Cristina è stata curata da un uomo in Romania e c'è anche un uomo nella sua attuale famiglia di accoglienza, con entrambi i quali si intende bene. Cristina ha vissuto con un gatto e un bambino piccolo in quella casa e amava giocare con loro, ma a volte era "un po' troppa" perché è goffa ed entusiasta. È una ragazza dolce e fedele con quelle che ama. Potrebbe beneficiare di addestramento uno a uno per limitare questa entusiasmo, ma noi la apprezziamo molto per il suo spirito vitale! È una sciocca affettuosa, lunga di gambe e goffa, che ha bisogno solo di un po' di tempo investito in lei. Le piacciono le sue passeggiate e è ben comportata fuori, ma può essere cauta verso persone che non conosce che entrano in casa. Cristina adora giocare con gli altri cani nella sua famiglia di accoglienza, ma avrebbe bisogno che qualsiasi altro cane o cani in casa fossero sicuri, perché potrebbe essere troppo per un carattere più riservato. Potrebbe vivere come cane unico se sufficientemente esercitato e stimolato. Cristina necessita di un padrone esperto, è molto ma è anche molto divertente e comica. Cani anziani (10+ anni): £150–£250 (in base all'età e alle esigenze individuali). Condizioni e termini per l'adozione Quando adotti un cane di Safe Rescue, DEVI usare un guinzaglio a scivolamento. Questo terrà il tuo cane al sicuro: il tuo nuovo cane sarà nervoso e non ti farà fiducia e tu non saprai quali situazioni potrebbero preoccupare il tuo cane. Se il tuo cane si spaventa, il guinzaglio a scivolamento è l'unica via per evitare che scappi (molti cani possono scappare da collare e/o guinzaglio). Ci vorranno AT LEAST 3-6 mesi per permettere al tuo cane di ambientarsi e per conoscere completamente il tuo cane (più a lungo per i cani nervosi). Il guinzaglio a scivolamento deve SEMPRE essere usato durante il periodo di ambientamento. Anche dopo che il cane si è ambientato, è più sicuro usare il guinzaglio a scivolamento in situazioni in cui il cane potrebbe spaventarsi (ad esempio visitando luoghi nuovi, intorno a persone sconosciute, dal veterinario), e in situazioni in cui potrebbero verificarsi trigger imprevisti (ad esempio intorno alla notte dei fuochi d'artificio). I cani nervosi potrebbero dover indossare sempre il guinzaglio a scivolamento come misura di sicurezza aggiuntiva. Il guinzaglio a scivolamento è un dispositivo di sicurezza e deve MAI essere utilizzato come strumento di addestramento. Usare il guinzaglio per applicare pressione sul collo del cane è dannoso. Se il tuo cane tira sul guinzaglio, possiamo consigliarti metodi di addestramento che evitino danni. Una volta che il cane si è ambientato, potresti voler considerare l'uso di una cingia (insieme al guinzaglio a scivolamento) se il cane è comodo quando viene indossata. La maggior parte delle cingie non sono antifuga, ma le cingie con una cingia dietro le costole (es. Ruffwear Webmaster o Perfect Fit Harnesses) sono più sicure. Cristina is a medium to large sized crossbreed, born March 2023. Cristina was rescued as a pup from the streets of Crevedia in Romania. She came to the UK September 2023 and was quickly adopted but was returned after a few weeks because she didn’t have a good relationship with the man in that household. Cristina was cared for by a man in Romania and there is also a man in her current foster home, both of which she gets on well with. Cristina lived with a cat and a small child in that home and loved playing with them but sometimes got “a bit much” as she’s clumsy and enthusiastic. She is a sweet and loyal girl with those she loves. She would benefit from one to one training to curb that enthusiasm, but we quite like her zest for life! She is a leggy, clutzy, lovable fool who just needs a little time invested in her. She loves her walks and is well behaved out and about but can be wary of people she doesn’t know entering her home. Cristina is loving playing with the other dogs in her foster but would need any other dog or dogs in the household to be confident as she’d be too much for a more reserved character. She but could live as an only dog if sufficiently exercised and stimulated. Cristina needs an experienced owner, she’s a lot but she’s also great fun and so comical. She’s not for everyone but for the right person she’s going to be that dog you never ever forget. Cristina fostered Norwich Norfolk. Adoption Terms & Conditions When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
