Princess è un incrocio Chow di media taglia, ha circa cinque anni. Non è ancora testata con i gatti. Può vivere con o senza altri cani. Bambini 8+ Princess è entrata in nostro cure recentemente dal rifugio pubblico di Botosani in Romania. La vita non era così terribile per lei nei primi mesi del suo soggiorno a Botosani. Lei e suo fratello erano in una recinzione da soli e avevano l'uno l'altro per accoccolarsi e giocare. Qualche settimana fa siamo stati distrutti apprendendo che suo fratello aveva lasciato il rifugio e lei era rimasta indietro. Abbiamo pianificato di prenderla fin dal momento in cui abbiamo saputo che lui se n'era andato perché eravamo assaliti dal pensiero di quanto fosse infelice e come non capisse perché lui fosse scomparso improvvisamente. Il nostro cuore era letteralmente dolorante per lei. Abbiamo avuto battute d'arresto lungo la strada e ci è voluto molto più tempo di quanto desiderassimo ma, finalmente, è in una casa di accoglienza nel Regno Unito ed è felicissima. Princess è una ragazza estremamente amichevole e allegra che si è ambientata immediatamente nella sua casa di accoglienza e si è comportata rapidamente come se non avesse mai vissuto altrove! Si intende bene con i suoi fratelli di accoglienza ma potrebbe anche vivere felicemente come unico cane nella sua casa definitiva. Potrebbe vivere con bambini rispettosi di età 8+. Princess è stata accolta da Hockley Essex Se sei interessato, invia un messaggio o chiama tra le 9:00 e le 17:00 da lunedì a venerdì oppure tra le 9:00 e le 16:00 sabato. Le quote di adozione sono Puppies già sterilizzati e tutti i cani adulti: 430 sterline. Cuccioli non sterilizzati con contratti di castrazione: 530 sterline (riceverai un rimborso di 100 sterline una volta che ci invierai la prova della sterilizzazione). Cani anziani (10+ anni): 150-250 sterline (a seconda dell'età e delle esigenze individuali). Termini e condizioni di adozione Quando adotti un cane di Safe Rescue, DEVI usare una guinzaglio a scatto. Questo terrà sicuro il tuo cane: il tuo nuovo cane sarà nervoso e non ti fiderebbe, e tu non saprai quali situazioni potrebbero turbare il cane. Se il tuo cane ha paura, allora il guinzaglio a scatto è l'unica via per impedire al cane di scappare (molti cani possono sfuggire da collare e/o imbracatura). Ci vorranno ALMENO 3-6 mesi per far abituare il cane e conoscerlo pienamente (più a lungo per cani nervosi). Il guinzaglio a scatto deve SEMPRE essere utilizzato durante questo periodo di adattamento. Anche dopo che il cane si è ambientato, è più sicuro usare il guinzaglio a scatto nelle situazioni in cui il cane potrebbe aver paura (es. visitare luoghi nuovi, intorno a persone sconosciute, dal veterinario), e nelle situazioni dove potrebbero verificarsi trigger inaspettati (es. intorno al 5 novembre). I cani nervosi potrebbero dover indossare sempre un guinzaglio a scatto come misura di sicurezza aggiuntiva. Il guinzaglio a scatto è un dispositivo di sicurezza e mai deve essere utilizzato come strumento di addestramento. Applicare pressione sul collo del cane attraverso il guinzaglio è dannoso. Se il tuo cane tira il guinzaglio, possiamo consigliarti metodi di addestramento che evitino danni. Una volta che il cane si è ambientato, potresti considerare di utilizzare una cingia (insieme al guinzaglio a scatto) se il cane è comodo quando è attaccata. La maggior parte delle cingie non è anti-scappatoia, ma quelle con una cingia dietro le costole (es. Ruffwear Webmaster o Perfect Fit Harnesses) sono più sicure. Princess is a medium sized Chow cross aged around five years old. Not yet cat tested. Can live with or without other dogs. Children 8plus + Princess has come into our care recently from the Botosani public shelter in Romania. Life wasn’t so very terrible for her in the first few months of her stay at Botosani. Her and her brother were in a pen on their own and they had each other to snuggle up to and play with. A few weeks ago we were gutted to learn that her brother left the shelter and she remained behind. We’ve been conspiring to get her from the very second we knew he left as we were eaten up by how miserable she would be and how she simply wouldn’t understand why he suddenly vanished. Our hearts literally ached for her. We’ve had set backs along the way and it’s taken far longer than we wanted but, finally, she is in a UK foster home and she’s having a ball. Princess is an incredibly friendly and cheerful girl who settled instantly in her foster home and quickly behaved like she’d never lived anywhere else! She gets on well with her foster siblings but could also live happily as the only dog in her forever home. She could live with respectful children aged eight plus. Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Terms & Conditions When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
