Astoria została znaleziona wraz ze swoim kolegą miskiem niemieckim na Boulevardie Marbella, oba noszące obojczyki, oba nieoryginalne. Uważa się, że należały do koczowniczych obozów cygańskich, czy innych typów towarzyszy podróżujących. Astoria to radocha, szczęśliwa, odważna i ciekawa dziewczyna, bardzo lubi ludzi. Od razu, gdy zobaczy człowieka, ogon nie przestaje się kołaszyć. Mimo że wydaje się, że zapewne nie były prowadzone na smyczy wielu razy w życiu, Astoria chodzi dobrze na smyczy i reaguje na tempo i polecenia. Jej sierść jest piękna, a grzbiet jest wyprostowany, nie ma niskich bioder, stanowi i chodzi dobrze i obecnie nie wykazuje problemów stawowych lub bioder, które są normalne dla niemieckich owczarków. Astoria ma łagodny charakter i jest podporządkowana wobec swojego kolegi męskiego Lennarta. Mogą być adoptowane razem lub oddzielnie, a Astoria może być jedynym psem w domu (jeśli będzie dostawać kontakt z innymi psami przez całe życie) lub mogła mieszkać razem z innym mężczyzną, nie testowaliśmy jej jeszcze z innymi kobietami, jednak nie sprawiała problemów z żadnymi psami, z którymi mijaliśmy się. Wydaje się, że nie uczyła się siedzieć, ani skupiać się na ćwiczeniach, szkoleniu, więc byłoby świetnie, jeśli jej przyszły człowiek poświęci trochę czasu i wysiłku, by pokazać jej radość z nauki nowych rzeczy, treningu małych tricków, trochę agilności, szkolenia posłuszeństwa. Astoria was found with her male German Shepherd friend on the Boulevard of Marbella, both of them wearing collars, both uncastrated. It is believed that they belonged to a gypsy camp, or other types of travelling groups of people. Astoria is a cheerful, happy, adventurous and curious girl, and she really loves people. As soon as she sees a human, her tail doesn't stop wagging. Even though it seems to us they were probably not walked on leash much in their lives, Astoria walks well on the leash and is responsive to your pace and instructions. Her fur is beautiful and her back is leveled straight, she does not have low hips, she stands and walks well and does not at this point show to have joint or hip issues, which are normally very common for Shepherds. Astoria has a kind nature and she is submissive with her male friend Adolfo. As Adolfo was becoming a bit too dominant with her, and that made Astoria behave in a more hectic manner, then they have been separated in the shelter and we're working with them separately. Around the shelter Astoria is reactive to some dogs passing her buy but at the same time, she is very good in supervised socialisations, and shows positive interest in some specific dogs, so we believe it is a matter of positive socialisation experiences for her, and training to co-exist in a relaxed manner with other dogs passing her, even if the situation might be stressy. Astoria could be either the only dog of a home (if controlled dog contact is provided throughout her life) or she could live together with another balanced, confident male dog. It would be great if her future human would invest some time and effort in showing her the joys of learning new things, training little tricks, a bit of agility, obedience training. Astoria LOVES to jump into the car and get going for an adventure! Her shoulder height is approximately 61cm.
