Astoria foi encontrada com seu amigo cão pastor alemão macho na Avenida de Marbella, ambos com coleiras, ambos não castrados. Acreditam que pertenciam a um acampamento de ciganos ou outros tipos de grupos itinerantes de pessoas. Astoria é uma menina alegre, feliz, aventureira e curiosa, e ela adora pessoas. Assim que vê um ser humano, sua cauda não para de abanar. Apesar de parecer que eles provavelmente não foram paseados muito em guia em suas vidas, Astoria caminha bem em guia e responde à sua velocidade e instruções. Seu pelo é belo e sua parte inferior está nivelada reta, ela não tem quadris baixos, ela fica em pé e caminha bem e até agora não mostra ter problemas nas juntas ou quadris, que normalmente são muito comuns para pastores alemães. Astoria tem uma natureza gentil e é submissiva com seu amigo macho Lennart. Eles podem ser adotados juntos ou separadamente, e Astoria pode ser o único cachorro de uma casa (se for fornecido contato com outros cães durante toda a vida) ou pode viver com outro cachorro macho, ainda não testamos ela com outras fêmeas, no entanto ela não causou problemas com nenhum dos cães que passava. Parece que ela não foi ensinada a sentar ou focar em exercícios, treinamento, então seria ótimo se seu futuro dono investisse algum tempo e esforço em mostrar-lhe os prazeres de aprender coisas novas, treinar pequenas truques, um pouco de agilidade, treinamento de obediência. A altura do ombro dela é aproximadamente 61 cm.

Astoria was found with her male German Shepherd friend on the Boulevard of Marbella, both of them wearing collars, both uncastrated. It is believed that they belonged to a gypsy camp, or other types of travelling groups of people. Astoria is a cheerful, happy, adventurous and curious girl, and she really loves people. As soon as she sees a human, her tail doesn't stop wagging. Even though it seems to us they were probably not walked on leash much in their lives, Astoria walks well on the leash and is responsive to your pace and instructions. Her fur is beautiful and her back is leveled straight, she does not have low hips, she stands and walks well and does not at this point show to have joint or hip issues, which are normally very common for Shepherds. Astoria has a kind nature and she is submissive with her male friend Adolfo. As Adolfo was becoming a bit too dominant with her, and that made Astoria behave in a more hectic manner, then they have been separated in the shelter and we're working with them separately. Around the shelter Astoria is reactive to some dogs passing her buy but at the same time, she is very good in supervised socialisations, and shows positive interest in some specific dogs, so we believe it is a matter of positive socialisation experiences for her, and training to co-exist in a relaxed manner with other dogs passing her, even if the situation might be stressy. Astoria could be either the only dog of a home (if controlled dog contact is provided throughout her life) or she could live together with another balanced, confident male dog. It would be great if her future human would invest some time and effort in showing her the joys of learning new things, training little tricks, a bit of agility, obedience training. Astoria LOVES to jump into the car and get going for an adventure! Her shoulder height is approximately 61cm.
