Baxter jest bardzo inteligentny i bardzo przyjazny chłopak, gdy się z Tobą oswoi. Uwielbia sesje szkoleniowe z jego najlepszym przyjacielem Rachelem i uczynił ogromny postęp, nauczył się kontrolować swoje głupie impulsy! Chodzi bardzo dobrze na smyczy i ceni sobie obecność innych psów, ale jest zbyt fizyczny w grze, aby być bez smyczy z nimi, a ponieważ jest tak silnym psem, musimy uważać, żeby nie został za zachwycony i przypadkowo ktoś się uraził! Uwielbia grać w swoje zabawki i nauczył się spokojnie siedzieć sam, bardzo zadowolony ze swojej własnej obecności. Baxter pracował bardzo ciężko, by stać się wspaniałym przyjacielem i to pomogło nam stworzyć plany szkoleniowe dla niego w domu. Jest bardzo miły i lubiany pies i zasługuje na swoją rodzinę, oni tylko muszą być odporni i gotowi na trochę szkoleń! Baxter szuka domu, gdzie dzieci są starsze niż 16 lat i może być jedynym zwierzakiem. Jego rodzina będzie musiała być zaangażowana w dalsze szkolenia, aby pracować nad jego kontrolą impulsów i umiejętnością społeczną. With incredibly expressive ears that tell you just what he is thinking, Baxter is one of the most recognizable dogs at the centre and is not short of an admirer or two. With a fondness for training, lots of potential and bags of personality he is ready and waiting for his hero adopter to come and meet him so that he can reward them with a lifetime of love and devotion, and more than a few laughs along the way! Baxter and his trainer and best pal Rachel are a well known double act here at the centre and he has recently been enjoying the luxuries of Rachel’s home in foster. Rachel says that he has made incredible progress and although he still has the odd daft lad impulse, he has been a pleasure to have and cuddle up with at home. Despite his size and power he walks beautifully on lead and enjoys the company of four legged walking buds, although this should be kept to on lead meetings as he can get a little OTT. At Rachel’s house he has shown that he is more than content in his own company and settles himself nicely. Baxter has worked so hard to become the wonderful companion that we know he will be. He is a loving and incredibly lovable dog who has waited a long time to find the family he so deserves. Baxter is looking for a home where any children are over 16 and he can be the only pet. His family will need to be committed to following his ongoing training plan to give him the best possible chance at settling into his new home. Baxter is fully house trained and does enjoy some solo time, so once settled could be left long enough to fit around standard working hours.
