Met oren die in elke richting wijzen behalve omhoog, is Baxter een van de meest herkenbare en belachelijke honden in ons Merseyside-centrum! Hij is drie jaar oud en vol potentie, hij heeft alleen zijn held nodig om hem te ontmoeten. Zijn behoeften zijn vrij specifiek, maar je wordt beloond met een leven lang liefde en trouw en er zijn zeker grappen op de weg. Baxter is zeer intelligent en is een heel knuffelige jongen als hij zich bij jou heeft geïntroduceerd. Hij houdt van zijn oefensessies met zijn beste vriendin Rachel en heeft grote vooruitgang geboekt, hij heeft geleerd zijn vrolijke gedragjes onder controle te houden! Hij loopt prachtig aan de lijn en geniet van de gezelschap van andere honden, maar hij is veel te luidruchtig in het spelen om zonder muts met hen te spelen, en omdat hij zo'n krachtige hond is moeten we oppassen dat hij niet te blij wordt en onbedoeld iemand kwetst! Hij houdt van het spelen met zijn speelgoed en heeft geleerd gelukkig alleen te zitten, besteedt graag tijd aan zichzelf. Baxter heeft hard gewerkt om de fijne vriend te worden die hij is en dit heeft ons geholpen trainingsschema's voor hem op te stellen in huis. Hij is zo'n liefdevolle en aardige hond en verdient het om zijn eigen familie te vinden, zij moeten alleen sterk en bereid zijn voor wat training! Baxter zoekt een thuis waar kinderen minstens 16 jaar oud zijn en hij de enige huisdier is. Zijn familie moet zich verplichten tot voortgezette training om zijn impulscontrole en sociaal gedrag te verbeteren. Baxter is volledig huishouwtraind, maar kan misschien een herhaling nodig hebben, en hij houdt van wat alleen tijd, hoewel dat geleidelijk opgebouwd moet worden terwijl hij zich ertoe laat gaan.

With incredibly expressive ears that tell you just what he is thinking, Baxter is one of the most recognizable dogs at the centre and is not short of an admirer or two. With a fondness for training, lots of potential and bags of personality he is ready and waiting for his hero adopter to come and meet him so that he can reward them with a lifetime of love and devotion, and more than a few laughs along the way! Baxter and his trainer and best pal Rachel are a well known double act here at the centre and he has recently been enjoying the luxuries of Rachel’s home in foster. Rachel says that he has made incredible progress and although he still has the odd daft lad impulse, he has been a pleasure to have and cuddle up with at home. Despite his size and power he walks beautifully on lead and enjoys the company of four legged walking buds, although this should be kept to on lead meetings as he can get a little OTT. At Rachel’s house he has shown that he is more than content in his own company and settles himself nicely. Baxter has worked so hard to become the wonderful companion that we know he will be. He is a loving and incredibly lovable dog who has waited a long time to find the family he so deserves. Baxter is looking for a home where any children are over 16 and he can be the only pet. His family will need to be committed to following his ongoing training plan to give him the best possible chance at settling into his new home. Baxter is fully house trained and does enjoy some solo time, so once settled could be left long enough to fit around standard working hours.
