Avec des oreilles qui pointent dans toutes les directions mais pas vers le haut, Baxter est l'un des chiens les plus reconnaissables et les plus farceurs de notre centre de Merseyside ! Il a trois ans et plein de potentiel, il n'attend que son héros pour le rencontrer. Ses besoins sont assez spécifiques, mais vous serez récompensé par une amour et dévouement toute sa vie et vous êtes assurés de rires tout au long du chemin. Baxter est extrêmement intelligent et est un très câlin une fois qu'il se sent en sécurité avec vous. Il adore ses séances d'entraînement avec son meilleur ami Rachel, et a fait d'importants progrès, apprenant à gérer ses impulsions de jeune imbécile ! Il marche parfaitement en laisse et apprécie la compagnie d'autres chiens, mais il est trop physique dans son jeu pour être en liberté avec eux, et comme il est un chien très puissant, nous devons faire attention qu'il ne devienne pas trop excité et accidentellement blesse quelqu'un ! Il aime jouer avec ses jouets et a appris à se calmer heureusement seul, assez content de sa propre compagnie. Baxter a travaillé très dur pour devenir l'ami merveilleux qu'il est et cela nous a aidé à élaborer des plans d'entraînement pour lui à la maison. C'est un chien très affectueux et aimable et mérite de trouver sa propre famille, ils doivent simplement être solides et prêts à faire de l'entraînement ! Baxter cherche un foyer où les enfants sont âgés de plus de 16 ans et où il sera le seul animal de compagnie. Sa famille devra s'engager à un entraînement continu pour travailler sur son contrôle des impulsions et ses compétences sociales. Baxter est complètement dressé mais peut avoir besoin d'un rappel, et il apprécie un peu de temps seul, bien qu'il faille probablement le construire progressivement pendant qu'il s'adapte.

With incredibly expressive ears that tell you just what he is thinking, Baxter is one of the most recognizable dogs at the centre and is not short of an admirer or two. With a fondness for training, lots of potential and bags of personality he is ready and waiting for his hero adopter to come and meet him so that he can reward them with a lifetime of love and devotion, and more than a few laughs along the way! Baxter and his trainer and best pal Rachel are a well known double act here at the centre and he has recently been enjoying the luxuries of Rachel’s home in foster. Rachel says that he has made incredible progress and although he still has the odd daft lad impulse, he has been a pleasure to have and cuddle up with at home. Despite his size and power he walks beautifully on lead and enjoys the company of four legged walking buds, although this should be kept to on lead meetings as he can get a little OTT. At Rachel’s house he has shown that he is more than content in his own company and settles himself nicely. Baxter has worked so hard to become the wonderful companion that we know he will be. He is a loving and incredibly lovable dog who has waited a long time to find the family he so deserves. Baxter is looking for a home where any children are over 16 and he can be the only pet. His family will need to be committed to following his ongoing training plan to give him the best possible chance at settling into his new home. Baxter is fully house trained and does enjoy some solo time, so once settled could be left long enough to fit around standard working hours.
