Con orejas que apuntan en cualquier dirección excepto hacia arriba, Baxter es uno de los perros más reconocibles y más tontos en nuestro centro de Merseyside. Tiene tres años y lleno de potencial, solo necesita a su héroe para conocerlo. Sus necesidades son bastante específicas, pero serás recompensado con una vida llena de amor y devoción y estarás garantizados algunas risas en el camino. Baxter es increíblemente inteligente y es un chico muy cariñoso una vez que se siente cómodo contigo. Adora sus sesiones de entrenamiento con su mejor amigo Rachel, y ha tenido grandes avances, aprendiendo a controlar sus impulsos de muchacho tonto. Camina perfectamente en correa y disfruta la compañía de otros perros, pero es demasiado físico en el juego para estar sin correa con ellos, y como es un perro tan poderoso tenemos que tener cuidado de que no se vuelva demasiado eufórico y accidentalmente moleste a alguien. Le encanta jugar con sus juguetes y ha aprendido a relajarse felizmente solo, bastante contento con su propia compañía. Baxter ha trabajado mucho para convertirse en el excelente amigo que es y esto nos ha ayudado a formular planes de entrenamiento para él en casa. Es un perro muy cariñoso y querido y merece encontrar su propia familia, simplemente necesitan ser resistentes y dispuestos a hacer algún entrenamiento. Baxter busca un hogar donde los niños sean mayores de 16 años y sea el único animal de compañía. Su familia tendrá que comprometerse al entrenamiento continuo para trabajar en su control de impulsos y habilidades sociales. Baxter está completamente entrenado en casa, pero puede necesitar un recordatorio, y le gusta un poco de tiempo solo aunque ese tiempo puede tener que construirse gradualmente mientras se adapta.

With incredibly expressive ears that tell you just what he is thinking, Baxter is one of the most recognizable dogs at the centre and is not short of an admirer or two. With a fondness for training, lots of potential and bags of personality he is ready and waiting for his hero adopter to come and meet him so that he can reward them with a lifetime of love and devotion, and more than a few laughs along the way! Baxter and his trainer and best pal Rachel are a well known double act here at the centre and he has recently been enjoying the luxuries of Rachel’s home in foster. Rachel says that he has made incredible progress and although he still has the odd daft lad impulse, he has been a pleasure to have and cuddle up with at home. Despite his size and power he walks beautifully on lead and enjoys the company of four legged walking buds, although this should be kept to on lead meetings as he can get a little OTT. At Rachel’s house he has shown that he is more than content in his own company and settles himself nicely. Baxter has worked so hard to become the wonderful companion that we know he will be. He is a loving and incredibly lovable dog who has waited a long time to find the family he so deserves. Baxter is looking for a home where any children are over 16 and he can be the only pet. His family will need to be committed to following his ongoing training plan to give him the best possible chance at settling into his new home. Baxter is fully house trained and does enjoy some solo time, so once settled could be left long enough to fit around standard working hours.
