Este lindo cão macho border collie está no nosso abrigo em Calvià há algum tempo. Ushiro tem cinco anos e foi entregue a nós porque seu antigo dono simplesmente não conseguia mais lidar com ele. Infelizmente, Ushiro teve um grande problema com a nova situação e demonstrou claramente isso. Por isso, demos a ele um pouco de tempo para se acostumar com a nova situação. Enquanto isso, as coisas estão realmente bem com as pessoas que ele conhece. Mas ele também tem um ou dois "pequenos problemas". Isso precisa ser reconhecido claramente e levado em consideração. Por exemplo, ele parece ter um problema em colocar e tirar uma coleira; às vezes também com a guia ou o toque associado. É por isso que queremos abordar a colocação de Ushiro lentamente e muito cuidadosamente - porque ele absolutamente precisa ir para as pessoas certas. Ushiro é um cara realmente ótimo, mas nunca foi desafiado da maneira correta. Ele é inteligente e só precisa de um pouco de tempo para construir confiança e se envolver com as pessoas. Crianças pequenas não devem estar na nova família dele no momento, pois não podemos julgar isso com suficiente precisão no momento. Segundo seu antigo dono, porém, ele teve contato com crianças no passado, e isso provavelmente foi adequado e sem problemas. Gatos claramente não devem estar na nova família dele. Ele não tem realmente problema com outros cães - assim como com pessoas - tudo se trata de química. Mas ele está feliz com a maioria deles no momento. Estamos buscando pessoas já experientes com cães, familiarizadas com a raça Border Collie e que tenham tempo suficiente para dar a Ushiro o que ele realmente precisa. Isso inclui atividade suficiente juntos na natureza e definitivamente também trabalho mental. Um ambiente natural com boas oportunidades de exercícios seria muito desejável. Em mãos certas e com confiança, Ushiro certamente se tornará um excelente companheiro para seus novos donos. Ele só precisa de uma verdadeira e proper oportunidade.

This beautiful male border collie has been at our shelter in Calvià for some time now. Ushiro is five years old and was handed in to us because his former owner was simply no longer able to cope with him. Unfortunately, Ushiro had a really big problem with the new situation and he clearly showed that. So we gave him a bit of time to get used to the new situation. In the meantime, things are going really well with the people he knows. But he also has one or two “little issues”. That has to be clearly recognised and taken into account. For example, he seems to have a problem with putting on and taking off a harness; sometimes also with the lead or the associated touching. That’s why we want to approach the placement of Ushiro slowly and really carefully – because he absolutely has to go to the right people. Ushiro is a really great guy, but he has never really been challenged in the right way. He is clever and just needs a bit of time to build up trust and get involved with people. Small children should not be in his new family at the moment, as we cannot judge this well enough at the moment. According to his former owner, however, he did have contact with children in the past, and that was probably fine and without any problems. Cats should clearly not be in his new family. He doesn’t really have a problem with other dogs – just like with people – it’s all about chemistry. But he is happy with most of them at the moment. We are looking for people who are already experienced with dogs, who are familiar with the Bordercollie breed and who have enough time to give Ushiro what he really needs. That includes sufficient activity together in nature and definitely also brain work. A natural living environment with really good exercise opportunities would be very desirable. In the right hands and with trust, Ushiro will definitely become a great companion for his new owners. He just needs a real and proper chance.
