Este hermoso macho border collie ha estado en nuestro refugio en Calvià durante algún tiempo. Ushiro tiene cinco años y fue entregado a nosotros porque su anterior dueño simplemente ya no podía hacerse cargo de él. Lamentablemente, Ushiro tuvo un gran problema con la nueva situación y lo mostró claramente. Por eso le dimos un poco de tiempo para acostumbrarse a la nueva situación. Mientras tanto, las cosas van realmente bien con las personas que conoce. Pero también tiene uno o dos "pequeños problemas". Eso debe reconocerse claramente y tenerlo en cuenta. Por ejemplo, parece tener un problema al ponerse y quitarse una correa; a veces también con la correa o el contacto asociado. Por eso queremos proceder con cuidado y lentamente en la colocación de Ushiro, porque debe ir a las personas adecuadas. Ushiro es un gran chico, pero nunca ha sido desafiado de la manera correcta. Es inteligente y solo necesita un poco de tiempo para construir confianza y relacionarse con la gente. Los niños pequeños no deben estar en su nueva familia en este momento, ya que no podemos juzgarlo bien en este momento. Según su anterior dueño, sin embargo, sí tuvo contacto con niños en el pasado, y probablemente fue bien y sin problemas. Los gatos claramente no deben estar en su nueva familia. No tiene realmente ningún problema con otros perros - al igual que con las personas, se trata de la química. Pero ahora está feliz con la mayoría de ellos. Estamos buscando a personas que ya tengan experiencia con perros, que estén familiarizadas con la raza border collie y que tengan suficiente tiempo para darle a Ushiro lo que realmente necesita. Esto incluye suficiente actividad en la naturaleza y, definitivamente, trabajo cerebral. Un entorno natural con buenas oportunidades de ejercicio sería muy deseable. En manos adecuadas y con confianza, Ushiro definitivamente se convertirá en un gran compañero para sus nuevos dueños. Solo necesita una verdadera y real oportunidad.

This beautiful male border collie has been at our shelter in Calvià for some time now. Ushiro is five years old and was handed in to us because his former owner was simply no longer able to cope with him. Unfortunately, Ushiro had a really big problem with the new situation and he clearly showed that. So we gave him a bit of time to get used to the new situation. In the meantime, things are going really well with the people he knows. But he also has one or two “little issues”. That has to be clearly recognised and taken into account. For example, he seems to have a problem with putting on and taking off a harness; sometimes also with the lead or the associated touching. That’s why we want to approach the placement of Ushiro slowly and really carefully – because he absolutely has to go to the right people. Ushiro is a really great guy, but he has never really been challenged in the right way. He is clever and just needs a bit of time to build up trust and get involved with people. Small children should not be in his new family at the moment, as we cannot judge this well enough at the moment. According to his former owner, however, he did have contact with children in the past, and that was probably fine and without any problems. Cats should clearly not be in his new family. He doesn’t really have a problem with other dogs – just like with people – it’s all about chemistry. But he is happy with most of them at the moment. We are looking for people who are already experienced with dogs, who are familiar with the Bordercollie breed and who have enough time to give Ushiro what he really needs. That includes sufficient activity together in nature and definitely also brain work. A natural living environment with really good exercise opportunities would be very desirable. In the right hands and with trust, Ushiro will definitely become a great companion for his new owners. He just needs a real and proper chance.
