Questo bell'animale maschio border collie è stato nel nostro rifugio di Calvià per un certo periodo. Ushiro ha cinque anni ed è stato consegnato a noi perché il suo precedente proprietario non era più in grado di gestirlo. Purtroppo Ushiro aveva un grosso problema con la nuova situazione e lo ha chiaramente mostrato. Per questo gli abbiamo dato un po' di tempo per abituarsi alla nuova situazione. Nel frattempo le cose vanno molto bene con le persone che conosce. Ma ha anche uno o due "piccoli problemi". Questo deve essere chiaramente riconosciuto e considerato. Ad esempio, sembra avere un problema con l'infilatura e la rimozione di una cingia; a volte anche con il guinzaglio o il contatto associato. Per questo vogliamo procedere con attenzione e lentamente nel collocamento di Ushiro, perché deve andare assolutamente alle giuste persone. Ushiro è veramente un bravo ragazzo, ma non è mai stato messo alla prova nel modo giusto. È intelligente e ha bisogno solo di un po' di tempo per costruire fiducia e impegnarsi con le persone. Al momento i bambini piccoli non dovrebbero far parte della sua nuova famiglia, poiché al momento non possiamo valutarlo abbastanza bene. Secondo il suo precedente proprietario, però, aveva avuto contatti con i bambini in passato e probabilmente era andato bene e senza problemi. I gatti non devono certamente far parte della sua nuova famiglia. Non ha davvero problemi con altri cani - come con le persone - tutto dipende dalla chimica. Ma al momento è felice con la maggior parte di loro. Cerchiamo persone che siano già esperte con i cani, che siano familiari con la razza Bordercollie e che abbiano abbastanza tempo da dedicare ad Ushiro, a ciò di cui ha veramente bisogno. Questo include un'attività sufficiente insieme nella natura e certamente anche lavoro mentale. Un ambiente naturale con ottime opportunità di esercizio sarebbe molto desiderabile. In mani giuste e con fiducia, Ushiro diventerà sicuramente un grande compagno per i suoi nuovi padroni. Ha semplicemente bisogno di una vera e propria opportunità.

This beautiful male border collie has been at our shelter in Calvià for some time now. Ushiro is five years old and was handed in to us because his former owner was simply no longer able to cope with him. Unfortunately, Ushiro had a really big problem with the new situation and he clearly showed that. So we gave him a bit of time to get used to the new situation. In the meantime, things are going really well with the people he knows. But he also has one or two “little issues”. That has to be clearly recognised and taken into account. For example, he seems to have a problem with putting on and taking off a harness; sometimes also with the lead or the associated touching. That’s why we want to approach the placement of Ushiro slowly and really carefully – because he absolutely has to go to the right people. Ushiro is a really great guy, but he has never really been challenged in the right way. He is clever and just needs a bit of time to build up trust and get involved with people. Small children should not be in his new family at the moment, as we cannot judge this well enough at the moment. According to his former owner, however, he did have contact with children in the past, and that was probably fine and without any problems. Cats should clearly not be in his new family. He doesn’t really have a problem with other dogs – just like with people – it’s all about chemistry. But he is happy with most of them at the moment. We are looking for people who are already experienced with dogs, who are familiar with the Bordercollie breed and who have enough time to give Ushiro what he really needs. That includes sufficient activity together in nature and definitely also brain work. A natural living environment with really good exercise opportunities would be very desirable. In the right hands and with trust, Ushiro will definitely become a great companion for his new owners. He just needs a real and proper chance.
