Mare, blândul Norman este un băiat sensibil care îi place să fie mângâiat și să aibă scărpinături pe burtă. Îi place compania oamenilor și să se îmbrățișeze pe canapea. Părinții lui de îngrijire îl descriu ca „un mare iubitor, odată ce s-a legat de tine.” Îi place să joace cu jucării moi și cu păsărici, va juca cu tine la tragerile de frânghie și îi place să alerge după mingi. Norman își petrece plimbările în păduri, câmpuri deschise sau terenuri sigure pentru câini. Își crește încrederea în locurile aglomerate și este ok cu traficul care trece. Deși lucrează la abilitățile sale de câine social, preferă ca ceilalți câini să-i dea spațiu, deoarece se poate îngrijora când sunt prea aproape. A învățat să poarte o măștiță, ceea ce îți oferă pacea sufletului. În general, Norman merge frumos la călcâi. Trăsăturile preferate sunt pui, schmackos și brânză sforăită! Norman știe să stea, să-și pună șaua și să aștepte. După plimbări și timpul de joacă, își dorește să se relaxeze și să doarmă în patul lui. Norman este un Mastiff de 6 ani care caută o casă iubită. Ar putea împărtăși casa cu copii de vârsta de 14 ani și peste. El dorește să fie singurul câine din casă și va avea nevoie de o casă fără pisici sau animale mici. Nu are istoric privind bestiile. Este imediat prietenos cu oamenii noi și este fericit să aibă oaspeți în casă. Ar putea suporta o casă destul de aglomerată. Odată ce Norman se simte într-o nouă casă, timpul petrecut singur poate fi crescut treptat, cu părinții lui de îngrijire a fost bine pentru câteva ore la un moment dat. Norman este conștient de haine și este bun cu călătoriile în mașină.

If your idea of the perfect dog is affectionate, playful, gentle and always ready for a sofa snuggle, Norman might just be your boy. He absolutely loves affection and will happily soak up fuss, belly rubs and cuddles. When he isn’t snuggled up with his people, Norman enjoys playing with soft and squeaky toys, a good game of tug and chasing after a ball. He also loves enrichment activities, particularly his snuffle ball, and is always happy when his favourite treats – chicken, Schmackos or squeezy cheese – make an appearance! Norman enjoys getting out and about too. His favourite adventures are quieter walks through woodland and open fields, or trips to secure dog fields where he can relax, explore and enjoy the occasional Mastiff zoomie. He walks nicely on his lead, although the odd squirrel can understandably make things a little more exciting! Norman is still developing his confidence and social skills around other dogs and is happiest when they give him some space. His adopters will need to continue supporting him with this, but Norman responds brilliantly to calm reassurance, praise and treats and has learnt a helpful “this way” cue to move away and carry on with his walk. He has also been positively trained to wear a muzzle when out and about, giving his adopters another useful skill to help him enjoy his adventures comfortably. Norman really is a big, loveable softie looking for someone to give all that affection to. If you have space on your sofa and in your heart for a gentle giant, Norman could be your one-in-a-million companion. Norman is a gorgeous six-year-old Mastiff with a big heart and gentle nature. Currently living in a foster home, Norman has shown us what a wonderful companion he can be. He is housetrained, travels well in the car, settles beautifully at home and loves being part of family life. His foster carers describe him simply as “a big softie”, which sums him up perfectly. Norman could live with secondary school-aged children and is happy welcoming visitors into the home. He is looking to be the only pet, so will need a home without other dogs, cats or small furries. Norman loves company and would make a brilliant companion for someone who works from home, but he doesn’t need you by his side every minute of the day. In his foster home, he has been comfortable being left for a couple of hours at a time, and this could gradually be built up once he is settled into his new home. The best part of going out without him might just be coming home – Norman greets his foster carers with the happiest wiggles, bounces and excitement!
