Stor, søt Norman er en følelsesfull gutt som elsker å få oppmerksomhet og bukkrav. Han elsker menneskefølge og å krype seg oppå soffa. Hans fostermor skriver om ham: "En stor mykere, når han har blitt vant til deg." Han elsker å spille med myke og knirrende leketøy, vil ha en tug-øvelse med deg, og liker å jage baller. Norman elsker sine turer i skoger, åpne felt eller sikre hunderetter. Han bygger selvtillit i busy områder, og han klarer passerede trafikk. Selv om han jobber på sine sosiale hundeferdigheter, foretrekker han at andre hunder gir ham plass, fordi han kan bli bekymret når de kommer for nær. Han har lært å bære et munnstykke som ferdighet, noe som gir deg trygghet. Generelt går Norman fint på ledningen sin. Hans favorittmåltider er kylling, schmackos og squeezy ost! Norman vet å sette seg, gi hånd og vente. Etter turene og leken, liker han å avslappe og sove i sitt seng. Norman er en seks år gammel Mastiff som søker et kjærlig hjem. Han kan dele hjemmet sitt med barn over 14 år. Han ønsker å være den eneste hunden i hjemmet og vil trengere et hjem uten katter eller små pelsdyr. Han har ingen historie rundt husdyr. Han er umiddelbart vennlig mot nye mennesker og er glad for besøkende til hjemmet. Han kan klare seg i et relativt aktivt hjem. Når Norman føler seg innrettet i sitt nye hjem, kan tiden alene økes gradvis; sammen med sin fosterfar har han vært fine i noen timer av gangen. Norman er trent til å bruke toalett og bra i bilreiser.

If your idea of the perfect dog is affectionate, playful, gentle and always ready for a sofa snuggle, Norman might just be your boy. He absolutely loves affection and will happily soak up fuss, belly rubs and cuddles. When he isn’t snuggled up with his people, Norman enjoys playing with soft and squeaky toys, a good game of tug and chasing after a ball. He also loves enrichment activities, particularly his snuffle ball, and is always happy when his favourite treats – chicken, Schmackos or squeezy cheese – make an appearance! Norman enjoys getting out and about too. His favourite adventures are quieter walks through woodland and open fields, or trips to secure dog fields where he can relax, explore and enjoy the occasional Mastiff zoomie. He walks nicely on his lead, although the odd squirrel can understandably make things a little more exciting! Norman is still developing his confidence and social skills around other dogs and is happiest when they give him some space. His adopters will need to continue supporting him with this, but Norman responds brilliantly to calm reassurance, praise and treats and has learnt a helpful “this way” cue to move away and carry on with his walk. He has also been positively trained to wear a muzzle when out and about, giving his adopters another useful skill to help him enjoy his adventures comfortably. Norman really is a big, loveable softie looking for someone to give all that affection to. If you have space on your sofa and in your heart for a gentle giant, Norman could be your one-in-a-million companion. Norman is a gorgeous six-year-old Mastiff with a big heart and gentle nature. Currently living in a foster home, Norman has shown us what a wonderful companion he can be. He is housetrained, travels well in the car, settles beautifully at home and loves being part of family life. His foster carers describe him simply as “a big softie”, which sums him up perfectly. Norman could live with secondary school-aged children and is happy welcoming visitors into the home. He is looking to be the only pet, so will need a home without other dogs, cats or small furries. Norman loves company and would make a brilliant companion for someone who works from home, but he doesn’t need you by his side every minute of the day. In his foster home, he has been comfortable being left for a couple of hours at a time, and this could gradually be built up once he is settled into his new home. The best part of going out without him might just be coming home – Norman greets his foster carers with the happiest wiggles, bounces and excitement!
