Μεγάλος, χαριτωμένος Νορμαν είναι ένας ευαίσθητος κούκλος που αγαπά τα φιλιά και τα γλυκά κουρνιά. Αγαπά την ανθρώπινη κοινωνία και την υπνοδωματική συμπαράσταση. Οι φροντιστές του τον περιγράφουν ως «ένα μεγάλο μαλακό κούκλο, μόλις τον έχεις συνδέσει». Αγαπά να παίζει με μαλακά και τσιρίζοντα παιχνίδια, θα έχει ένα παιχνίδι τσουκ προς τα πίσω μαζί σου και θα θέλει να θαυμάσει μπάλες. Ο Νορμαν απολαμβάνει τις βόλτες του σε δασικές περιοχές, ανοικτά πεδιά ή ασφαλή σκυλιά. Κατασκευάζει αυξανόμενη αυτοπεποίθηση σε πολύ ασφαλείς θέσεις και είναι καλός με την παροχέτευση τροχοφόρων. Παρόλο που εργάζεται στα κοινωνικά δυνατότητα του σκύλου, προτιμά να δίνουν άλλα σκυλιά χώρο σε αυτόν, επειδή μπορεί να ανησυχεί όταν οι άλλοι γίνονται πολύ κοντά. Έχει μάθει να φοράει μια κάταστροφα ξεχωριστά, που σας δίνει αυτή την ειρήνη της ψυχής σας. Γενικά, ο Νορμαν περπατά καλά στην λιστα του. Τα αγαπημένα του τρόφιμα είναι κοτόπουλο, schmackos και squeezy cheese! Ο Νορμαν γνωρίζει ένα κάθισμα, το πόδι και την αναμονή. Μετά τις βόλτες και το παιχνίδι, θέλει να χαλαρώσει και να κοιμηθεί στο κρεβάτι του. Ο Νορμαν είναι ένας 6χρονος Μαστίφ φροντίζοντας για ένα θερμό σπίτι. Μπορεί να μοιραστεί το σπίτι του με παιδιά ηλικίας 14 ετών και παραπάνω. Είναι ζητώντας να είναι το μόνο σκύλο στο σπίτι και χρειάζεται ένα σπίτι χωρίς γάτες ή μικρά φουρούνια. Δεν έχει ιστορία σχετικά με τα ζώα. Είναι αμέσως φιλικός με τα νέα άτομα και ικανοποιημένος με τους επισκέπτες στο σπίτι. Μπορεί να αντεξει σε ένα οικογενειακό σπίτι που είναι αρκετά ενεργό. Μόλις ο Νορμαν νιώσει αισθητικά στο νέο του σπίτι, το χρόνο του μόνος μπορεί να αυξηθεί σταδιακά, με τον φροντιστή του έχει καλά για μερικές ώρες τη φορά. Ο Νορμαν είναι εκπαιδευμένος στο σπίτι και είναι καλός με τα ταξίδια με το αυτοκίνητο.

If your idea of the perfect dog is affectionate, playful, gentle and always ready for a sofa snuggle, Norman might just be your boy. He absolutely loves affection and will happily soak up fuss, belly rubs and cuddles. When he isn’t snuggled up with his people, Norman enjoys playing with soft and squeaky toys, a good game of tug and chasing after a ball. He also loves enrichment activities, particularly his snuffle ball, and is always happy when his favourite treats – chicken, Schmackos or squeezy cheese – make an appearance! Norman enjoys getting out and about too. His favourite adventures are quieter walks through woodland and open fields, or trips to secure dog fields where he can relax, explore and enjoy the occasional Mastiff zoomie. He walks nicely on his lead, although the odd squirrel can understandably make things a little more exciting! Norman is still developing his confidence and social skills around other dogs and is happiest when they give him some space. His adopters will need to continue supporting him with this, but Norman responds brilliantly to calm reassurance, praise and treats and has learnt a helpful “this way” cue to move away and carry on with his walk. He has also been positively trained to wear a muzzle when out and about, giving his adopters another useful skill to help him enjoy his adventures comfortably. Norman really is a big, loveable softie looking for someone to give all that affection to. If you have space on your sofa and in your heart for a gentle giant, Norman could be your one-in-a-million companion. Norman is a gorgeous six-year-old Mastiff with a big heart and gentle nature. Currently living in a foster home, Norman has shown us what a wonderful companion he can be. He is housetrained, travels well in the car, settles beautifully at home and loves being part of family life. His foster carers describe him simply as “a big softie”, which sums him up perfectly. Norman could live with secondary school-aged children and is happy welcoming visitors into the home. He is looking to be the only pet, so will need a home without other dogs, cats or small furries. Norman loves company and would make a brilliant companion for someone who works from home, but he doesn’t need you by his side every minute of the day. In his foster home, he has been comfortable being left for a couple of hours at a time, and this could gradually be built up once he is settled into his new home. The best part of going out without him might just be coming home – Norman greets his foster carers with the happiest wiggles, bounces and excitement!
