Bono

Male · Senior · 12 years

Bono recently came to the animal shelter, unfortunately for the second time. He was adopted from here as a puppy, and now he has returned to the animal shelter after the death of his caregiver. He still feels a bit lost and stressed at the animal shelter, which he wanted to forget forever. Now he misses his previous life, and while on walks he looks around intensely as if looking for his caregiver. He is still distant towards new people, but gentle and friendly, sometimes seeking support from them. On walks he is energetic, strong, walks nicely on a leash and explores the area. After the walk he doesn't want to return to the kennel, and when left alone he cries loudly. With other dogs, especially larger ones, he can be negatively disposed - this may require work. He needs a caring and consistent caregiver who will take care of him forever. Come for a meet and greet walk with Bono. dog under the care of group G1.

PL·Show original

Inne psy w schronisku bardzo go stresują, szczególnie te większe. Pracujemy z nim, aby nauczyć go radzenia sobie w kontaktach z innymi psami.

About Bono

What life with Bono looks like

Bono is a medium-sized senior dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bono, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bono?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bono on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bono if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bono already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bono isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bono and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
