Get to know sweet Abby! Abby is a charming and affectionate lady seeking a quiet home where she can have all the attention for herself. With the arrival of a pup in the household, the dynamics within the family changed, and Abby unfortunately could not get along well with the other dog present. Therefore, we are now searching for a new place where she can fully come into her own. Abby is a true people dog and prefers to be close to you. She thoroughly enjoys delicious meals, nice walks, and of course, snuggling on the couch. Although she has her own bed, she much prefers to be cozy by you. At home, Abby can sometimes be a bit watchful, something that fits her involved personality. During walks, Abby walks nicely by your side, though she can be a tad independent at times. She does not necessarily need to meet other dogs or cats on the way; she can then be a bit reserved. Therefore, we are looking for a quiet environment and owners who can guide her in this. Abby also finds water fun, so on nice weather, a walk by the beach, a little lake, or a nice dip will certainly be appreciated. Abby had a good life in her previous home, and that is somewhat also visible. Besides her beautiful full coat, which requires regular grooming, she also needs to lose a bit of weight. At our shelter, she has therefore started a diet to become fit again. For Abby, we are looking for a household with one or two adults, without children or other animals. A spacious house with a garden would be ideal, as this is what she is used to. We are looking for people who are happy to go on adventures with her, can offer her clarity and calmness, and most importantly, a warm bed — or of course, a spot on the couch — for her. Maak kennis met lieve Abby! Abby is een gezellige en aanhankelijke dame die op zoek is naar een rustig thuis waar zij alle aandacht voor zichzelf mag hebben. Door de komst van een pup in huis veranderde de dynamiek binnen het gezin en kon Abby helaas niet meer goed overweg met de andere aanwezige hond. Daarom zoeken wij nu een nieuw plekje waar zij helemaal tot haar recht kan komen. Abby is een echte mensenhond en is het liefst dicht bij je in de buurt. Ze geniet volop van lekker eten, fijne wandelingen en natuurlijk van knuffelen samen op de bank. Hoewel ze een eigen mand heeft, ligt ze veel liever gezellig bij je. In huis kan Abby soms wat waaks zijn, iets wat goed past bij haar betrokken karakter. Tijdens wandelingen loopt Abby fijn met je mee, al kan ze af en toe nog een tikkeltje eigenwijs zijn. Andere honden of katten onderweg hoeft ze niet zo nodig te ontmoeten; ze kan dan uitvallen. Daarom zoeken wij voor haar een rustige omgeving en baasjes die haar hierin goed kunnen begeleiden. Water vindt Abby trouwens ook leuk, dus met mooi weer een wandeling langs het strand, een meertje of lekker pootjebaden zal ze zeker waarderen. Abby heeft het in haar vorige thuis erg goed gehad en dat is stiekem ook een beetje aan haar te zien 😉. Naast haar mooie volle vacht, die regelmatig verzorging nodig heeft, mag er ook nog wat gewicht af. Bij ons is ze daarom begonnen aan een dieet, zodat ze weer lekker fit kan worden. Voor Abby zoeken wij een huishouden met één of twee volwassenen, zonder kinderen of andere dieren. Een ruim huis met een tuin zou ideaal zijn, dit is ze namelijk gewend. We zoeken mensen die graag met haar op pad gaan, haar duidelijkheid en rust kunnen bieden en vooral een warme mand — of natuurlijk een plekje op de bank — voor haar over hebben.
