💗 ADA 💗 DAMIR 📍 Location: Croatia – can be visited on-site at any time 🐾 General Information: • Name: ADA • Age: born on March 26, 2026 • Gender: female 🐾 Health: • Overall condition: good • Basic vaccinations completed • Rabies vaccination to follow • Leg injury surgically treated – will wear a special protective shoe in the future • Weight: to be confirmed • Height: to be confirmed (expected to grow) The descriptions of the dogs provided by the foster homes in Croatia are based on current impressions from the site and do not guarantee the dog’s future behavior or development. 🐾 Character & Behavior: Ada was abandoned together with her sisters Zeta and Sia in a remote village, far away from houses or people. A caring man happened to discover the five puppies and alerted animal welfare authorities. By the time help arrived, two of the puppies had already disappeared—presumably their brothers. Fortunately, the three little sisters could be brought to safety. Ada was found to have a severe injury to one of her legs. She received immediate veterinary care. To save her leg, part of it had to be removed. Fortunately, a full amputation was not necessary. In the future, Ada will wear a special protective shoe and can lead a completely normal, happy dog life. Despite her injury, Ada is not discouraged in the slightest. She is a cheerful, loving, and playful young puppy full of zest for life. She loves people, children, other dogs, and even cats, and she greets everyone openly and friendly. Like her sisters, Ada curiously explores the world and enjoys every bit of attention. Every day, she shows just how much courage and joy she has inside. 🐾 Special Preferences: • Cheerful and playful • People-oriented and friendly • Loves children • Social with other dogs • Gets along well with cats • Curious and open-minded • Full of fighting spirit and joy of life 💌 How you can help: ❣️ Adopt ❣️ Offer foster care ❣️ Share—so that ADA can finally find her family 🐾❤️ Videos: Sweet Ada after surgery

About Ada

What life with Ada looks like

Ada is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Hund sucht Hütte in Austria.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ada, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ada?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hund sucht Hütte handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ada on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ada if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hund sucht Hütte will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ada already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ada isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hund sucht Hütte early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ada and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
