Adopt Tetris

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Young Tetris is a handsome lad who has well and truly “stacked up” the hearts of everyone he meets! This bright young boy is ready to find a home willing to go the extra mile for him and embrace all the brilliant traits that come with his breed type. Bright, eager, and a lover of his treats, this clever boy will thrive in a home where his adopters are excited to invest time into his ongoing training and enrichment. Tetris is intelligent, driven, and loves having a job to do, whether that’s learning new skills, engaging in training games, or enjoying mentally stimulating activities. We’re looking for adopters who will be able to provide Tetris with structure, consistency, and outlets he needs to truly flourish. Tetris does need some support when seeing other dogs out on walks, as he can become frustrated when he wants to say hello. Typical of his breed type, he can be enthusiastic with his greetings and will benefit from continued training to help him stay calm and focused around canine friends. Unfortunately Tetris wouldn’t be suitable to live with cats or small furries. Tetris is currently staying with one of our dedicated foster carers, where he has settled in beautifully. He has made great progress with his house training and, after a fun training session or an active day out, loves nothing more than “powering down” with a cuddle on the sofa. Playful, affectionate, and full of personality, Tetris would be the perfect match for an active household that enjoys training, adventures, and building a strong bond with their dog. If there are children in the home, they will need to be aged 14+ so Tetris can enjoy the calm, consistent environment he needs to thrive. If you’re looking for a smart, loving, high-energy companion who’s ready to slot right into your life and help you “level up” your dog-owning experience, Tetris could be the missing piece you’ve been searching for. About Adopt Tetris

What life with Adopt Tetris looks like

Adopt Tetris is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hope Rescue in Pontyclun.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Requires ongoing training and mental stimulation, not suitable with cats or small animals, needs structure and consistency

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Adopt Tetris, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Adopt Tetris?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hope Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Adopt Tetris on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Adopt Tetris if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hope Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Adopt Tetris already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Adopt Tetris isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hope Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Adopt Tetris and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
