European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 3 months

I was quite nervous when I arrived at my foster family. I wasn't sure what to make of all the attention and preferred to keep my distance. But look where I am now! I'm running happily around the whole house, climbing all the way to the top of the scratching post and enjoying attention and gentle pets more and more. Sitting still? Not really my thing! I'd rather be on an adventure all day. I race around the house, climb everywhere and am always curious about what's going on around me. I do rest, but only when I'm really tired. Being picked up is still a bit scary for me. But something special happens when you lift me up calmly. After a few seconds, you can feel me relax completely and notice how much I actually enjoy being cuddled. I just need some time to discover that I can trust you. I find new people a bit scary, but with people I know well, I'm completely myself. Then I'm relaxed, curious and enjoy all the attention I get. My foster family has seen how much progress I've made, and that shows how much is possible when someone gives me some patience and love. I get along very well with other cats and I'm growing up in a house with two teenagers. Younger children are no problem. I could also live with young children, as long as they understand that sometimes I need some time to get used to new situations. We don't know yet if I like dogs. My ideal home is a quiet and loving family that gives me the chance to get used to things at my own pace. I don't need to hurry; a little patience is all I ask. Once I trust you, you'll discover a sweet, playful and affectionate tomcat who loves cuddles. Maybe I'll move in with my friends Arav or Rani. Starting a new adventure together seems like extra fun. Do you have the patience to show me how nice a home can be? Then fill in the intake form below, and we can schedule a first meeting. Before you bring a cat home, we're curious if you know what's involved. Read about it in this LICG pet handbook. Do you have any questions afterwards? We'd be happy to answer them.

About Adoptiepagina

What life with Adoptiepagina looks like

Adoptiepagina is a medium-sized puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at ROZE Eindhoven in Netherlands.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Adoptiepagina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Adoptiepagina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ROZE Eindhoven handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Adoptiepagina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Adoptiepagina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ROZE Eindhoven will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Adoptiepagina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Adoptiepagina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ROZE Eindhoven early rather than rehoming privately; they know Adoptiepagina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
