Hi, I’m Rufus! Together with my mom and sister Hazel, I ended up in foster care. Now that I’m big enough, I’m ready to start looking for my own forever home. The big wide world still feels pretty exciting to me. I prefer to take a closer look at new people and new situations from a safe distance first—so I’m not rushing over to you just yet. Playing with a feather toy is still a bit tricky for me too. I do peek at it curiously, but I don’t always dare to go after it yet. It’s completely different with my sister Hazel. Together, we run around, play, and have lots of fun. She gives me confidence, and because of that, I’m gradually becoming more and more brave. That’s why it would be wonderful if we could find a new home together. I’m looking for an owner who’ll give me the time I need to settle in at my own pace. With patience, love, and daily attention, I’ll gradually gain more trust. Since I’m still young, I have the potential to grow into a sweet and confident tomcat. It’s possible that at first, I’ll hide a little in my new home. That’s not because I don’t like you—it’s just that I want to make sure everything is safe before I come out. Will you give me that time? Then I’ll slowly start exploring my new home step by step. And when my sister Hazel is there with me, I’ll probably feel even more comfortable and confident right away. Hoi, ik ben Rufus! Samen met mijn mama en zus Hazel kwam ik in de opvang terecht. Inmiddels ben ik groot genoeg om op zoek te gaan naar een eigen thuis. Ik vind de grote wereld nog best spannend. Nieuwe mensen en nieuwe situaties bekijk ik liever eerst van een afstandje. Daarom kom ik nog niet meteen naar je toe. Ook spelen met een hengelspeeltje vind ik nog een beetje lastig. Ik kijk er wel nieuwsgierig naar, maar ik durf er nog niet altijd achteraan te gaan. Met mijn zus Hazel is dat heel anders. Samen rennen, spelen en stoeien we erop los. Zij geeft mij vertrouwen en daardoor durf ik steeds een beetje meer. Daarom zou het heel fijn zijn als we samen een nieuw thuis mogen vinden. Ik zoek een eigenaar die mij de tijd geeft om rustig te wennen. Met geduld, liefde en dagelijkse aandacht zal ik steeds meer vertrouwen krijgen.
