My name is Mocha, and unfortunately, this is the second time in my life that I’m looking for a new home. As a kitten, I was adopted by a loving family, but because I was unhousetrained, they could no longer care for me. Of course, they first wanted to make sure there wasn’t a medical cause behind it. That’s why I underwent a thorough veterinary examination. Fortunately, it turned out I’m completely healthy. They therefore believe my unhousetraining was probably behaviorally motivated. At the shelter, I’ve been using the litter box perfectly. I’m getting special gastrointestinal dry food here, and it’s working wonderfully. So I’ll need to stick with this diet for the rest of my life. But enough about that—there’s so much more I’d love to tell you about myself! I’m actually an incredibly sweet and social tomcat. As soon as someone comes near me, I immediately greet them with head bumps. Then I curl up comfortably on my blanket and start kneading—it’s so relaxing! I’m also curious and love keeping an eye on everything around me. In fact, I find my noisy feline neighbors quite interesting. Sometimes I’d even love to play with them. That’s why they think I might really enjoy having a feline friend—a buddy or girlfriend—to keep me company. But I’d also be thrilled to have an owner who spends plenty of time at home and gives me all the attention I absolutely adore. I’m looking for a calm, loving home where I can feel safe and truly be myself. With patience, care, and understanding, I think I could be a wonderful companion. Mijn naam is Mocha en helaas ben ik voor de tweede keer in mijn leven op zoek naar een nieuw thuis. Als kitten werd ik geadopteerd door een lief gezin, maar omdat ik onzindelijk was, konden zij niet langer voor mij zorgen. Natuurlijk wilden ze hier eerst zeker weten dat er geen medische oorzaak was. Daarom ben ik uitgebreid onderzocht door de dierenarts. Gelukkig bleek ik helemaal gezond te zijn. Ze denken daarom dat mijn onzindelijkheid waarschijnlijk een gedragsmatige oorzaak had. In de opvang doe ik mijn behoefte keurig op de kattenbak. Ik krijg hier speciale gastro-intestinal brokjes en dat gaat hartstikke goed. Deze voeding zal ik dus levenslang moeten krijgen. Maar genoeg over dat onderwerp, want ik heb nog veel meer over mezelf te vertellen! Ik ben namelijk een ontzettend lieve en sociale kater. Zodra iemand mijn kant op komt, begroet ik diegene meteen met kopjes. Daarna ga ik heerlijk op mijn dekentje liggen kneden. Dat vind ik zó ontspannend. Ik ben ook nieuwsgierig en houd graag alles om me heen in de gaten. Mijn luidruchtige kattenburen vind ik eigenlijk best interessant. Soms zou ik het liefst met ze meespelen. Daarom denken ze hier dat ik het misschien wel gezellig zou vinden om een kattenvriendje of -vriendinnetje te hebben. Maar een baasje dat veel thuis is en mij de aandacht geeft waar ik zo van geniet, zou ik ook heel fijn vinden. Ik zoek een rustig en liefdevol thuis waar ik de kans krijg om me veilig te voelen en helemaal mezelf te zijn. Met geduld, aandacht en begrip denk ik dat ik een geweldige huisgenoot kan zijn.
