Adopt Agora

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Agora – increasingly brave and full of joy Status: available for adoption Agora is a delicate, very sensitive female dog who is making huge progress every day and is gradually showing her true nature. At home, she is calm and problem-free – she keeps the house clean, enjoys being alone, and most of the time when the caretakers are not around, she simply sleeps. Her favorite place to rest has become the couch, where she observes the world and recharges after walks. Her greatest joy are her excursions to the yard. At the sight of grass, she can make a real concert – barking and squealing with excitement, knowing that an adventure is about to begin. On walks, she recently added a "sixth gear" – she runs like crazy, has fun, and even approaches other dogs, trying to encourage them to play. She is also getting better at interacting with people – she passes by them more confidently, and sometimes she approaches closer, especially if she suspects someone might have treats. She even greeted one gentleman with a leap from her paws, clearly expecting a treat. Though Agora is still a shy girl, her transformation is truly touching. Not long ago, walks were difficult for her, but today she walks around the neighborhood more confidently, and in the forest, she has changed beyond recognition – she rolls, stretches, jumps, and shows her joyful, silly side. She loves treats so much that they can motivate her almost to do anything. At home, she also increasingly seeks contact with humans. She sometimes comes out of her room to the living room just to ask for a pat. She is very attached to her temporary caretaker and is happy to return home. Sometimes, when she is alone, she might arrange some "furniture" with pillows, but most often she simply sleeps. Agora can also beautifully find her place among other dogs. Recently, for a few days, she has been accompanied by a dog named Muddle, whom she bravely leads on walks around her territory. Thanks to him, she is even braver – sometimes she goes to places she previously avoided. This is a female dog who would best thrive in a quiet, stable home alongside an empathetic caregiver. She needs time and patience, but in return, she offers something truly special – subtle joy, immense sensitivity, and an incredibly strong bond with humans. Agora doesn't scream for attention, but when she feels safe, she can show how beautifully and sincerely she knows how to love. — METRYCZKA PS — 🧮 Age: 01-01-2023 🚻 Gender: female 🐾 Size: 16 kg 🏀 Activity level: moderate ❤️ Spay: yes ℹ️ Microchip: yes 💉 Vaccinations: yes 📍 Location: Temporary Home in Trójmiasto ✅ The dog is under the care of the Trójmiasto branch of the Foundation for Puppies Judyta ✅ The dog is in a temporary home in the Trójmiasto area and its surroundings ✅ Adoption requirement: completion of an application, a pre-adoption visit, and signing an adoption agreement ✅ LINK TO APPLICATION:

Potrzebuje czasu i cierpliwości, ale w zamian oferuje coś naprawdę wyjątkowego – subtelną radość, ogromną wrażliwość i niezwykle silną więź z człowiekiem.

About Agora

What life with Agora looks like

Agora is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Agora, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Agora?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Agora on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Agora if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Agora already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Agora isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Agora and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
