Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request this Animal Now! Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request this Dog Now! The little Aladdin is a beautiful, elegant male dog with a striking darker facial mask and distinctive eyes that immediately win hearts. His gentle demeanor and sensitive nature make him a truly special dog who quickly captures people's hearts. Aladdin is a rather cautious and sensitive young dog. When faced with sudden movements or new situations, he prefers to observe from a safe distance first before slowly venturing closer. However, with calmness, patience, loving words, and of course a few treats, he gradually opens up more and more and reveals his wonderful character. He has a particularly close bond with his sister Lilia. The two spend a lot of time together, play joyfully, explore their surroundings together, and provide each other with security. Aladdin looks up to her strongly and thoroughly enjoys her company. As typical for a young dog, Aladdin loves playing and digging. Together with his siblings Woody, Lilia, Juliet, and Elodie, he spends many happy hours. Despite his sensitive nature, there’s a curious little explorer inside him who wants to get to know the world step by step. Even when eating, his sensitive nature shows through. Aladdin eats carefully and thoughtfully and has a rather delicate stomach. Therefore, he would like people who understand his needs and give him the time he needs. In the garden, Aladdin already walks confidently on a leash and feels comfortable there. Outside his familiar environment, he’s still a bit more cautious, but he orients himself beautifully toward his people and follows them attentively. With continued loving support, he’ll gain more and more trust and discover the big wide world. His story is touching: Aladdin was found alone in a field together with his four siblings—hungry, helpless, and without their mother. Since then, the siblings have been learning step by step to trust people and enjoy closeness. Aladdin is about 9 months old and currently stands around 52 cm tall. Behind his reserved exterior lies a little treasure full of zest for life, affection, and potential. Anyone who gives him the time to settle in will have a loyal and loving companion by their side. For Aladdin, we’re looking for a calm, understanding home with people who enjoy showing a sensitive dog the world. He still needs to get used to life in the house, everyday noises, environmental stimuli, and leash manners outside his familiar surroundings. An experienced first dog could help him gain confidence, but it’s not a requirement. Aladdin is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, flea-treated, and has an EU pet passport. After a positive preliminary check and upon payment of a protection fee, he can move into his own home. Who will give Aladdin the chance for a life filled with security, trust, and love? Many thanks to the -community! You’ve given Aladdin his name! As of July 24, 2026 Further information on the preliminary check and protection fee

About Aladdin

What life with Aladdin looks like

Aladdin is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aladdin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aladdin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aladdin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aladdin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aladdin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aladdin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aladdin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
