adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Ally has found a home! Her story: Cluj, Romania. Elva, Ally, Fynn, and Tico. Four little siblings, who were presented to us in a cardboard box. Originally, there was a fifth sibling, but it did not survive the harsh winter. The other four are full of fun and energy and want to finally leave their concrete walls and experience a bit of life. The gang is absolutely playful and open-minded. They are very people-oriented and have no fear. They are overjoyed by every person who enters their four walls. The sibling gang is compatible with fellow animals, and even cats are no problem. The puppies are currently almost four months old and will maintain a small size. Ally is the brightest puppy in the litter and also the most open…if one can make any difference at all, as all four are absolutely open. Ally is playful, lovable, and has a rather delicate build, although she has slightly longer legs than the others but is very slim-built and is of a nature that is also delicate. Unfortunately, Ally does not come across well in the photos, but in the videos, you can see her beautifully. After a bumpy start to life, our gang is now looking for a warm dog bed and people who will not expect much from them at first and show them how a normal dog life works. They are still babies and need to learn a lot. One or two mishaps should not be held against them, and they should always be guided with a positive reinforcement training style. They are already looking forward to their new life with nature walks, lots of snuggling hours, and also a visit to puppy school. In the first year of life, puppies should be as little alone as possible. Additionally, the more demanding pubertal phase is approaching. The hormone chaos turns the little rascals' lives upside down. They "forget" often everything they have learned so far, and their ears are on full blast. Therefore, it is especially important in this phase to consistently but lovingly train them. And there is also good news: This phase will pass. We wish our sweets a loving family that gives them the necessary time to find their way in new situations and supports them with all the new challenges. Then they will grow into confident and loyal dogs and faithfully accompany their families in all situations. Our babies are microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. They bring an EU pet passport with them and can be adopted by someone who gives them a chance at a normal dog life away from the confines of a yard, hunger, and cold. Many thanks to Katja W.! You gave Ally her name!. Gets along with other dogs.

Vielen Dank Katja W. ! Du hast Ally ihren Namen geschenkt!

About Ally

What life with Ally looks like

Ally is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ally, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ally?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ally on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ally if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ally already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ally isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ally and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
