Adopt Amara

Female · Puppy

The sweet Amara comes from the Hungarian animal shelter. The pretty one is very people-friendly and cuddly. She seems to get along well with other dogs. Amara is a medium-sized female dog with a slender build and beautiful reddish-brown fur. When you come to her kennel, she is overjoyed and enjoys her cuddles. She also runs well on a leash. We have nothing negative to report about Amara. We are therefore looking for loving people, preferably with already established children. A pre-existing dog in the family is welcome, but not necessary. If you are looking for a family member on four legs with whom you would like to enjoy beautiful walks in the green outdoors, you will find this in Amara. As always, we point out that a dog from the international animal shelter needs time, patience, and a loving introduction. New impressions, new routines, and new bonds should grow in peace. Those who are ready to walk this path together will be rewarded with a very special connection. The sweet Amara is, of course, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and has been examined by a veterinarian. She also has an EU pet passport. The handover could take place on June 27, 2026, in Berlin, or alternatively in the Stuttgart area, so if someone falls in love with her and wants to give her a – forever home – we would be delighted! Kurzinfo: Name Amara Rasse: this breed Geschlecht: female dog neutered Alter: 22.04.2024 Größe: ca. shoulder height.

About Amara

What life with Amara looks like

Amara is a extra-large puppy/kitten dog waiting at animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen in Ketzin.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Amara, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Amara?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Amara on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Amara if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Amara already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Amara isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Amara and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
