Ambra – hat ihr Zuhause gefunden

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Ambra was found homeless in Spain and currently must be in a foster home in the Canton of Basel-Land until she finds a new home. Ambra is lively and interested. She keeps her foster family on their toes, makes daily progress, and seems to enjoy everything. Ambra also gets used to the dog-friendly cats there and learns to know horses. Encounters with fellow animals on the leash are still in the making. But if she gets the security of a two-legged friend, that works out just fine. Apart from the walks, she loves cuddling with her foster family, playing, and engaging in nose work – for example, with her snuffle mat. Since Ambra is very cuddly and people-oriented, she could also be considered as a single dog. If there is already a single dog in the future home, he should be well-behaved. Ambra needs dog-experienced people (responsible children from a certain age are also possible), who can give her a lot of love, time, and patience. A house with an enclosed garden would be very nice, but is not a "must." Ambra is vaccinated, microchipped, and rehomed (for further information, pictures, and/or videos about Ambra, find them on the website of the dog shelter Grisette: Ambra). If you are interested in our dogs and would like to meet them informally, apply with the button below, and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can also request an informal application form directly from the dog shelter Grisette, where Ambra is currently housed: if there is an answering machine, please leave a message, they will call you back) or by email: info(at)grisette.ch. We thank you for your understanding if the processing of your request takes a little longer. We will do our best to give you a response as soon as possible. It may happen, however, that many requests come in at once or that our resources are temporarily urgently needed elsewhere.

What life with Ambra – hat ihr Zuhause gefunden looks like

Ambra – hat ihr Zuhause gefunden is a medium-sized adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tierschutzbund Basel Regional.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ambra – hat ihr Zuhause gefunden, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ambra – hat ihr Zuhause gefunden?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzbund Basel Regional handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ambra – hat ihr Zuhause gefunden on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ambra – hat ihr Zuhause gefunden if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzbund Basel Regional will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ambra – hat ihr Zuhause gefunden already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ambra – hat ihr Zuhause gefunden isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzbund Basel Regional early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ambra – hat ihr Zuhause gefunden and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
