Amcia

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

Amcia is just three years old and is one of the sweetest little ladies you could ever imagine. ❤️ Her greatest joy is being close to people. Hugging, petting, and spending time together make her truly happy. Just look at her photos to see how much she loves humans. Amcia is searching for her place in the world—a home filled with warmth, patience, and love. However, we’d like to be completely honest about a few things. During adoption trials, it became clear that Amcia has trouble maintaining cleanliness indoors. We’re not sure what’s causing this. In her shelter kennel, she stays perfectly clean and is incredibly well-behaved. Maybe it’s a matter of stress; maybe she just needs more time to adjust to her new surroundings; or perhaps she’s simply never lived in a home before and needs to learn how to do so. We also know that Amcia wouldn’t thrive as a dog left alone in the yard. When she’s by herself, she gets very upset about being separated from her people and tries hard to escape the property. This came as quite a surprise to us, but it only shows one thing: above all else, she needs human companionship. That’s why we’re looking for a home where she’ll be a full-fledged member of the family and can spend time with her caregivers, rather than living alone outside. Amcia gets along wonderfully with other dogs, doesn’t react to cats, and is exceptionally gentle. At the shelter, she does nothing but watch for people and wait for even a tiny bit of attention. Every single petting feels like pure happiness to her. We’re convinced that with the right amount of patience and love, Amcia will repay us with all the big, loving heart she has. We’d really love for someone to recognize this wonderful, love-starved pup and give her the home she so desperately deserves. 📞 For adoption inquiries: Alicja – 697 988 648 Aneta – 601 490 156

📞 Kontakt w sprawie adopcji: Alicja – 697 988 648 Aneta –601 490 156

About Amcia

What life with Amcia looks like

Amcia is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Amcia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Amcia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Amcia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Amcia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Amcia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Amcia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Amcia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
