ASHKA

German Shepherd · Male · Adult · 7 years

Ashka - Bollerkopf with a gentle soul 🥰 - Corsican Shepherd, 7.5 years, born ca. 2019, vaccinated, chipped, neutered, EU passport. - Waiting in France! - Ashka is a neutered male currently still in the euthanasia station. Optically, it seems something Molosser-like has been mixed in, but you never know exactly... according to the passport, he is a 6-year-old Corsican Shepherd. Ashka was very happy about the visit to his kennel and would have loved to have the stupid gate removed. Taking him out shows that he would do just about anything for a few treats. 🤭 He seems to already know some basic commands and walks well on a leash. He takes treats very carefully from your hand and loves petting! 🥰 Ashka is a quiet dog who would love to exchange the hard kennel floor for a soft couch. We have not yet tested his compatibility with other dogs. He has no problems with his kennel neighbors. On our Facebook page you will also find videos of him. ASHKA - Bollerkopf mit sanfter Seele 🥰 - Korsischer Schäferhund, 7,5 J., geb.ca.2019, geimpft, gechippt, kastriert, EU-Paß. - Wartet in Frankreich ! About ASHKA

What life with ASHKA looks like

ASHKA is an adult german shepherd dog waiting at Tier-Not-Hilfe in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting ASHKA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ASHKA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tier-Not-Hilfe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ASHKA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ASHKA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tier-Not-Hilfe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is ASHKA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ASHKA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tier-Not-Hilfe early rather than rehoming privately; they know ASHKA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
