Adopt Azor

Mixed Breed · Male

Azor - looking for love Status: available for adoption Azor – a calm, sensitive dog who is slowly discovering that life with a human can be safe and good. ❤️ Azor currently lives as the only dog in the house and is making small but very important progress every day. At first, every contact – even putting on a collar – was a huge stress for him. Today, it's a completely different story. He is not afraid of touch, likes when the caregiver is nearby, and greets him with quiet, calm joy after work. Sometimes he also comes to sleep in the bedroom. He is not yet the type of dog that begs for affection – rather, he prefers to be by your side. Most often, he lies at your feet on the couch when the caregiver is reading a book, and it seems that this calm contact gives him a sense of security. In the house, Azor is very well-behaved and problem-free. He keeps his cleanliness, never had an accident in the apartment. He can also stay alone calmly – during the week he spends about 8 hours alone at home and just sleeps on the couch during that time. He is a quiet roommate – he practically doesn't bark at home. Walks are a pleasure for him. He walks calmly, doesn't pull on the leash and explores with interest, absorbing the scents of the world. He can still react with barking and nervousness when he sees other dogs, so he currently feels best on quiet walks away from the crowd of dogs. He is a very balanced, gentle dog who likes to rest most of the day. He is not interested in play, he is much more comfortable with a quiet lifestyle and a quiet home. However, within just two weeks, a huge change is already visible – from a scared dog, he is slowly becoming someone who starts to trust and find peace with humans. Azor is looking for a patient and warm home that will allow him to build trust at his own pace. In return, you will get an extremely calm, gentle companion, who may not be pushy in showing feelings, but his quiet presence beside you has something really special. 🐾 —- DOG PROFILE —- 🧮 Year of birth: 01/2016 🚻 Sex: male 🐾 Size: about 10kg 🏀 Activity level: low/medium ❤️ neutered: yes ℹ️ Chip: yes 💉 Vaccinations: yes ✅ dog is under the care of the Tricity branch of the Judyta Puppies Foundation ✅ dog is currently in a temporary home in the Tricity area and surroundings ✅ Adoption requirement: filling out the questionnaire, pre-adoption visit and signing the adoption agreement ✅ LINK TO QUESTIONNAIRE:

Czasem przychodzi też spać do sypialni.

About Azor

What life with Azor looks like

Azor is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Azor, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Azor?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Azor on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Azor if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Azor already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Azor isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Azor and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
