Azula

Scottish Fold · Female · Adult · 9 years

Azula is too cute to be so sick Status: open Name: Azula Breed: Scottish Fold Mix Gender: female Color: tiger-striped Born: 15.05.2026 Compatible with: fellow cats The little Azula came in with her brother as a surrender to our association. We are looking for a forever foster home for Azula. The former owners had found the two at a few weeks old and actually intended to find them a nice home themselves... However, it quickly became clear that the little cat girl Azula is severely disabled due to the effects of the "Scottish Fold" breeding and they were overwhelmed by the situation. So the sibling pair was safely handed over to our association. While Azula's brother is developing normally, the little Azula has clear disability characteristics: ataxia, fused toe bones, ossifications on the spine and tail, dwarfism, and ingrown claws and a shortened lower jaw. But all this leaves the sweet cat girl completely unimpressed and she happily explores her little world! It is currently not apparent that Azula is in pain. She plays and cuddles as if there were no tomorrow - she is a real sunshine! Our cat children must be spayed or neutered at 6 months of age. This must be proven to the association by a spay/neuter certificate. Desired home: We are looking for a forever foster home for the little disabled cat - unfortunately, it is not expected that the little heart will live for very long. A person with a big heart for disabled kittens, and the necessary sensitivity and enough love to give Azula a wonderful time, would be perfect! Contact: If you can imagine giving the cute Azula a nice home, please contact Anja Kalisch The veterinary costs will be covered by the association.

About Azula

What life with Azula looks like

Azula is a large adult scottish fold cat waiting at Tierschutzverein 7 Gebirge e.V. — Orscheider Hof in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Azula, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Azula?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein 7 Gebirge e.V. — Orscheider Hof handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Azula on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Azula if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein 7 Gebirge e.V. — Orscheider Hof will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Azula already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Azula isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein 7 Gebirge e.V. — Orscheider Hof early rather than rehoming privately; they know Azula and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
