Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this animal now! Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this dog now! The beautiful puppies Babsi, Lana and Yuna were found together with their mother in the winter of 201/22 and were taken in at Paul's Shelter. Babsi, who is now about 4 years old, is doing relatively well there. She gets food, a dry sleeping place and is lovingly cared for, as much as the time of our heavily stressed staff allows. But of course, it is still not a happy dog life for her, because she needs much more attention, love and care. Therefore, she should be placed as soon as possible with responsible people who will take loving care of her and show her how nice it can be to be a family dog. Babsi has already overcome some of her initial fear. By giving her a lot of attention and engaging with Babsi, you can quickly gain her trust and turn her into a cheerful young dog. Babsi has jet-black eyes and snow-white fur, only her left eye has a small black marking. This gives her a very special charm, as it looks like she is winking at us cheerfully. Babsi is approximately 55 cm tall. We wish for Babsi loving and active adopters who will give her enough time and space to get used to her new living situation at her own pace. After adjustment, it would be advisable for Babsi to attend a positive dog training school, as joint training will strengthen Babsi's self-confidence and reinforce the bond with her humans. Would you like to be the person who shows Babsi what a good dog life looks like? Babsi travels spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms, and has an EU pet passport. She can move into her new home after a positive pre-check and against a fee. Thank you Pe K.! You gave Babsi her name! A big thanks also goes to Birgit Z., who has taken on a monthly sponsorship for Babsi. Date: 14.05.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 14.05.2026

About Babsi

What life with Babsi looks like

Babsi is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Babsi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Babsi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Babsi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Babsi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Babsi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Babsi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Babsi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
