Balerina

Female · Kitten · 1 month

Balerina is a tiny kitten who has arrived at the Shelter and urgently needs to find a loving home. She is still a baby and her body is very delicate and particularly vulnerable to bacteria and viruses. For this reason, she should leave the shelter as soon as possible. We are looking for caring and responsible guardians for her. Due to her very young age, it is best for her to go to a home with another young kitten or one where a resident cat already lives. This will give her the opportunity to learn cat communication and develop properly. Adopting such little ones requires dedication and knowledge, so in the case of no experience with babies, we encourage you to read the cat adoption guide, which contains the most important information about raising a kitten. With this guide, the guardian will be able to better prepare for welcoming the little one into the home. Guide: We invite you to fill out the pre-adoption questionnaire and come to the shelter with it already filled out: Please note: When deciding on adoption or considering it, be sure to bring a transporter or transport bag for cats with you to the shelter. Before adoption, make sure your home / apartment is safe and properly prepared to accept a new family member. Remember to secure windows and balconies. If you have a resident cat, bring the results of FIV and FeLV tests.

Pamiętaj, żeby zabezpieczyć okna i balkon. Jeśli masz kota rezydenta, zabierz ze sobą wyniki testów FIV i FeLV.

About Balerina

What life with Balerina looks like

Balerina is a small kitten cat waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adopters usually cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Balerina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Balerina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Balerina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Balerina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Balerina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Balerina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Balerina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
