Balou is a male Drentse patrijs x Welsh springer spaniel mix, born on March 15, 2019. He is not pedigreed and can live with dogs, but not with cats or children. He is house-trained and can be walked on a leash, but not allowed to run loose. He can ride in the car. Balou is looking for a new home because his owner is ill and won't get better. This is very sad for Balou. He used to love going on walks with her and they would often go to scent work classes together. Scent work is great for Balou, and even on walks, he doesn't miss a single scent and his nose is always working. Since his owner was hospitalized, we found a wonderful temporary home for Balou. It's a family with a Stabij Hound. From the moment the dogs met, it was a big celebration. Balou was so happy to have a playmate. I tried to take some photos, but the dogs wouldn't sit still. Balou is friendly and affectionate with children and other dogs.

Dat is voor Balou natuurlijk erg verdrietig. Hij was gewend om heerlijk met haar te wandelen en ze gingen regelmatig met z’n tweeën naar speurles. Speuren is geweldig voor Balou, ook bij het wandelen ontgaat hem geen enkele geur en is zijn neus continue bezig.Omdat zijn bazinnetje is opgenomen, hebben we voor Balou een hele lieve noodopvang gezocht. Een gezin waar al een stabij reu woont. Vanaf het eerste moment dat de honden kennismaakten, was het een groot feest. Balou was zo blij met een maatje om mee te spelen.
