Athletic, intelligent, has been dominant before, but very trainable, very compatible with low-key dogs, tests himself with dogs of similar presence, only to be given to households without children. The handsome Balto is a very small, neutered Malamute male, who has plenty of personality despite his size. He is typical of his breed in being independent, yet well-behaved, quite cuddly, and overall a very easygoing dog. Balto is very confident around people, but always clear and honest. He will immediately test his boundaries in a new environment and may try to enforce his priorities with his teeth. Because there was a previous biting incident with his former owners, he has been trained to wear a muzzle. Balto gets along well with most dogs. However, there are some dogs for which he does not really feel sympathy and towards which he might become aggressive. Balto is a pleasant companion on walks and when riding in the car. He can be left alone and if given a choice, he likes to sleep outside. He is currently living in Fürth near Nuremberg at the Pro Canem Dog Center and is available for adoption. We are unsure about cats; it might be possible if the dog and cat can be kept separate. All are vaccinated, microchipped, and have an EU passport. They are checked for Mediterranean diseases according to their age. See information on our website. Every dog that is placed makes room for another dog that is starving and emaciated. This animal was surrendered to the shelter.

sportlich, intelligent, schon mal dominant, aber sehr lernfähig, sehr verträglich mit unauffälligen Hunden, mit Hunden gleicher Präsenz testet er aus, nur in kinderlosen Haushalt abzugeben Der bildhübsche Balto ist ein sehr kleiner, kastrierter Malamuterüde, der dafür umso mehr Persönlichkeit besitzt. Er ist rassetypisch eigenständig, dabei aber gut erzogen, durchaus verschmust und im Großen und Ganzen ein sehr genügsamer Hund. Balto ist sehr selbstbewusst im Umgang mit Menschen, bleibt dabei aber immer ausgesprochen klar und ehrlich. Er wird in einem neuen Umfeld augenblicklich seine Grenzen austesten und hierfür u.U. auch versuchen seine Prioritäten mit den Zähnen durchzusetzen. Da es in der Vergangenheit bereits zu einem Beißvorfall bei den Vorbesitzern kam, haben wir ihn an das Tragen eines Maulkorbs gewöhnt. Mit den meisten Hunden versteht sich Balto ohne Probleme. Allerdings gibt es auch Hunde für die er nicht wirklich Sympathie aufbringen kann und auf die er sich dann einschießen würde. Balto ist auf Spaziergängen und beim Auto fahren ein angenehmer Begleiter. Er kann alleine bleiben und wenn er die Wahl hat, schläft er gerne draußen. Er lebt aktuell in Fürth bei Nürnberg im Hundezentrum Pro Canem und wird gegen Schutzvertrag und Schutzgebühr nur in einen kinderlosen, erfahrenen Haushalt abgegeben. Bei Katzen sind wir uns nicht sicher, das ginge eventuell nur, wenn Hund und Katze getrennt werden können. sind alle geimpft, gechipt und haben einen EU-Ausweis.
