Bambi gehört zu einem Wurf von sechs Welpen, die eines Tages einfach vor unserem Shelter in Fantanele zurückgelassen wurden. Ein Mann hatte die kleinen Leben dort abgeladen und sogar damit gedroht, sie zu töten, weil er keine Verwendung für sie hatte. Zum Glück konnten alle sechs gerettet werden und sind nun zumindest in Sicherheit. Doch ein Shelter ist kein Ort, an dem ein junger Hund seine Kindheit verbringen sollte. Bambi und ihre Geschwister Jari, Mila, Kida, Stitch und Vaiana sind noch ganz winzige, aber bereits sehr fröhliche, neugierige und verspielte kleine Hundekinder, die sich über jede Aufmerksamkeit freuen. Sie toben und spielen, aber suchen auch die Nähe zu Menschen und genießen Streicheleinheiten. Bambi selbst ist ein kleines Hundemädchen mit einem fröhlichen Wesen und einer ganz besonderen Ausstrahlung. Sie hat unglaublich süße Knopfaugen und die Pfötchen sehen aus wie in Zuckerguss getaucht. Trotz ihres schwierigen Starts lässt sie sich ihre Lebensfreude nicht nehmen und wartet nun darauf, endlich entdecken zu dürfen, wie schön ein eigenes Zuhause sein kann. Wie jeder Welpe muss auch Bambi noch vieles lernen. Stubenreinheit, Leinenführigkeit, Alleinebleiben und die Regeln des Zusammenlebens sind für sie noch Neuland. Kleine Pfützen, angeknabberte Schuhe und jede Menge Welpenquatsch gehören dabei einfach zum Großwerden dazu. Ihre zukünftigen Menschen sollten deshalb Geduld, Zeit und eine gute Portion Humor mitbringen. Und natürlich wartet irgendwann auch die Pubertät auf Bambi. Dann werden Grenzen gerne einmal getestet und das bereits Gelernte scheint plötzlich vergessen. Mit liebevoller Konsequenz, klarer Orientierung und dem Besuch einer positiv arbeitenden Hundeschule kann Bambi aber zu einer wunderbaren Begleiterin fürs Leben heranwachsen. Für die kleine Bambi wünschen wir uns Menschen, die ihr zeigen, wie schön ein behütetes Hundeleben sein kann. Menschen, die sie geduldig beim Großwerden begleiten und ihr die Liebe und Sicherheit schenken, die sie bisher nicht kennenlernen durfte. Bambi reist gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht mit ihrem EU-Heimtierausweis in ihr neues Zuhause. Altersbedingt ist sie noch nicht kastriert.
