Barsik

Mixed Breed · Male

Good day to you! I am Barsik, a little dog with a big heart. Along with my foster brother Donald, we escaped from terrible conditions in Ukraine, thanks to amazing volunteers who saved us at the last minute! I am currently in a temporary shelter, but it turned out I can't stay there anymore and I'm going back behind the bars. 🚀 About me: Age: 1.5 years Weight: 9 kg (but in my heart I'm big!) Lifestyle: Energetic, full of excitement, ready for anything! Skills: I walk nicely on a leash, I'm learning to respect boundaries, but above all, I love life! 🎉 What you win by choosing me: An endless amount of joy and enthusiasm. A partner for long walks and crazy games. Belief that together we will create amazing stories. 💖 Who I'm looking for: Active people who also get excited about life! Owners ready for long walks and adventures, but remembering that I need peace and my own space. Patient people ready to help me like other dogs and manage my emotions. A safe place where I will feel loved and understood. I can live with children, but only older ones. If you are ready for an adventure of life with me, let me know! 🐾 Let's discover new, exciting adventures together! 🚀❤️ PS: Barsik is healthy, neutered, vaccinated and has a microchip.

What life with Barsik looks like

Barsik is a small adult mixed breed animal waiting at Fundacja EkoStraż in Wrocław.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Barsik far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Barsik, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Barsik?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja EkoStraż handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Barsik on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Barsik if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a animal can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Fundacja EkoStraż what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Barsik already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a animal comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Fundacja EkoStraż directly what is included and what Barsik still needs.
What happens if Barsik isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja EkoStraż early rather than rehoming privately; they know Barsik and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
