Adopt BARY

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

BARY – 10 – year old male – in urgent adoption! BARY is a 10-year-old, reddish mixed breed who has been waiting for his family in the animal shelter for 5 years. He came to the Shelter in 2019 from Tarnów. He is a dog who has a lot of love to offer, although in the animal shelter he is one of the invisible dogs, meaning he often walks around, but for over 5 years no one has shown interest in his adoption. BARY loves walks, is full of energy and joy, and every moment spent outdoors is a real pleasure for him. He also likes petting – nothing relaxes him as much as gentle affection. Playing is a great opportunity for him to show how much he enjoys every moment spent with a person. Although BARY is already in his years, he is still full of life and ready for new adventures. He gets along well with families with children, he will find his place in a house or an apartment. Please share – we hope our shelter favorite will find his dream home. Bary – 10 – letni samiec – do pilnej adopcji! Trafił do Azylu w 2019 roku z Tarnowa.

About BARY

What life with BARY looks like

BARY is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Azyl dla Zwierząt w Tarnowie in Tarnów.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting BARY, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BARY?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Azyl dla Zwierząt w Tarnowie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BARY on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BARY if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Azyl dla Zwierząt w Tarnowie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BARY already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BARY isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Azyl dla Zwierząt w Tarnowie early rather than rehoming privately; they know BARY and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
