Bashiro

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 6 years

Native Country: Hungary On April 1, 2026, the pretty Bashiro, along with Marcello, found their way from the village of Törtel to Kecskemét at the animal shelter. They were picked up alone on the street, and no owner could be found far and wide. We do not know why they were homeless on the road, and we cannot say anything about their past; this will remain their secret. The fact is, neither of the two dogs was microchipped, nor had anyone reported them missing. We cross our fingers for Bashiro and Marcello that the animal shelter will only be a short stop in their lives and that they will soon be able to win their ticket to happiness. Bashiro and Marcello do not have to be rehomed together. Bashiro is a great guy, nice, upright, friendly, agile, and sometimes a bit stormy. He needs urgent physical and mental stimulation, structure, and rules. He wants to be challenged and supported so that he can develop into a great and loyal companion and channel his energy into the right paths. Certainly, he would have a lot of fun with sporting and mental activities, and any undiscovered talents in him could then be discovered by his new people. Of course, Bashiro also needs to do a bit more work, but he is a clever four-legged friend and will quickly understand how the hare runs. Bashiro gets along well with his friend Marcello, and how he gets along with other dogs will be tested soon, with an update to follow. For our wonderful Bashiro, we are looking for dog-experienced and adventurous people who like to be out in nature. Bashiro would certainly be a great companion for jogging, hiking, cycling, or similar activities, as long as the human and the dog have a good time together. This includes plenty of cuddle time, play, fun, enough quiet phases, full family integration, and Bashiro can finally live his life carefree and worry-free. Who has a free dog bed for our wonderful Bashiro? Bashiro can travel from around mid/end of May 2026 if he finds a home or a foster home.

About Bashiro

What life with Bashiro looks like

Bashiro is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bashiro, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bashiro?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bashiro on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bashiro if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bashiro already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bashiro isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bashiro and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
