Adopt Bela

Mixed Breed · Unknown

We already have Bela in temporary care, for which we thank you very much. We recognize her gradually and we would like to introduce her to you. Bela is a six-year-old female dog who was given up by the original owners. She then remained in the care of the elderly, but this did not prove to be the ideal solution. He's with us today, and he's getting a chance at a new, better life. It's a nice and friendly lady who likes people and contacts with them. She's used to living in an apartment, so her home environment is not foreign and she can behave in it. We are not yet able to assess the relationship with other dogs precisely, so we will test it thoroughly so that we can recommend a suitable household. Bela deserves a stable and loving environment where she will be a full member of the family. If you are interested in and are considering adoption, follow our further information or contact us.

Belu máme už v dočasnej opatere, za čo veľmi pekne ďakujeme. Postupne ju spoznávame a radi by sme ju predstavili aj vám. Bela si zaslúži stabilné a láskavé prostredie, kde bude plnohodnotným členom rodiny. Ak vás zaujala a uvažujete o adopcii, sledujte naše ďalšie informácie alebo nás kontaktujte.

About Bela

What life with Bela looks like

Bela is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Karanténna stanica Pezinok in Pezinok.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇸🇰Adopting from Slovakia

Slovak rescue groups coordinate cross-border transport with European partners. Animals are chipped and vaccinated; sterilization is often included for adults and arranged post-adoption for puppies/kittens.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bela, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bela?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Karanténna stanica Pezinok handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bela on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bela if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Karanténna stanica Pezinok will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bela already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bela isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Karanténna stanica Pezinok early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bela and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
