Adopt BELINDA

Mixed Breed · Female

BELINDA is an incredibly affectionate and loving kitty girl who survived a serious accident and, after several operations, is now back to being the cuddly, playful, cheerful, and curious kitten she used to be. True, she lost one eye and her multiple fractured jaw has healed slightly askew. But she eats like a champion, so what does that matter? It’s all purely cosmetic. And we hope to find loving people for the little mouse who aren’t bothered by these small "imperfections" but appreciate her affectionate and joyful nature. BELINDA brings a smile and laughter to everyone's face every day anew. She loves unconditionally those who have won her over with their hearts. She gets along really well with other cats; for her, a life without at least one other cat would not be desirable. She greets all cats openly and friendly. She also enjoys playing with her fellow animals and, of course, is happy when a human swings the play toy. Therefore, there should be at least one very social cat in the new home or she will bring someone from her foster home along. In the new home, BELINDA would be very pleased with a green area. This could be a beautiful large balcony with many plants, a secure terrace with greenery, a closed-in courtyard, an outdoor enclosure, etc. Of course, her dream would be a secure garden. Free-roaming outside isn’t possible anymore, as one accident was enough. One shouldn't tempt fate twice. If you’re interested in our wonderful kitty girl, please contact us via our contact form or directly send an email to . You can reach us by phone at (also WhatsApp). A brief note on our part: Please include your phone number when you inquire and, if it’s about free-roaming, also your address. Introduce yourself and the new home briefly as well. We present our cats as honestly and thoroughly as possible after all. Many thanks! Clicking on the photo enlarges the view.

Also was macht das schon aus?

About BELINDA

What life with BELINDA looks like

BELINDA is a large adult mixed breed cat waiting at Katzenzuflucht e.V. in Much.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting BELINDA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BELINDA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenzuflucht e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BELINDA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BELINDA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenzuflucht e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BELINDA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BELINDA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenzuflucht e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know BELINDA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
