Bella

Border Collie · Female · Adult · 6 years

Bella is a wonderful girlie who is fully housetrained. She loves fuss, attention and being snugged up on the sofa. Bella is also content being left for up to 6 hours, providing she had a comfy spot for a snooze and some toys to play with. Bella is a super affectionate and living girlie who has so much potential and will thrive with patient adopters who can commit to building her confidence and helping her feel at ease. Beautiful Bella is an 6 year old Collie cross. She is currently living in a foster home, where she much prefers the peace and quite. Bella is a lovely girl, but can be anxious and times and is looking for adopters who can help her grow in confidence and really find her paws. Bella can find lots of noise (such as traffic) or busy places overwhelming and much prefers having a garden or safe space of her own to play in. She travels well and would prefer to be driven somewhere quiet like a secure field that go for walks in busy areas, Bella loves her favourite people and enjoys being with people. We think she could live with lower secondary aged children. Bella can find meeting dogs a bit scary, so will need adopters who can continue her socialisation as the only pet in the home.

About Bella

What life with Bella looks like

Bella is an adult border collie dog waiting at Dogs Trust Kenilworth in Kenilworth.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Kenilworth handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Kenilworth will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Kenilworth early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
